Great Product!!!... But...
I love these glasses. I wear them almost every day being in sunny FL. I've gotten plenty of compliments on them by a wide variety of people. Only issue is I've had them for only a few months, and the lens seem to be peeling. Little bubbles have started to form around their edges. I hope it's a fluke, because I'd like to keep buying goodr whenever I'm in need of a pair.
Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy the fit but the mirrored lenses have not held up well. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary and they are already very scratched.
Love
I wear them everywhere, have 2 pears in all 3 colors:heart:️️️
Plastic frames break easily.
Great fit and price point, but they snapped at the frame/arm joint after only 6 weeks of light use. Too good to be true... I will be going back to more expensive sunglasses that will last for years.
Best unofficial Asian fit sunglasses
I'm apparently the last Asian to learn this, but Goodr sunglasses are an outstanding fit for someone with a smaller nasal bridge and high cheekbones who is sick of sunglasses that sit on their cheeks and not their nose. I had a feeling when I saw the reviews from (most likely) non-Asians complaining about reflections on the inside of the lenses and that the lenses were too far away from the face that these things would fit me PERFECTLY and they do. They're also extremely comfortable, flattering, and I can wear them on top of my head without worrying they're going to fall off. They fit me even better than the sunglasses I hoarded from Uniqlo that are the only other cheap sunglasses I've ever found that actually fit my face, and better than the Warby Parker "low nasal bridge" fit glasses I have on right now. I want 10 pairs of these.
Not good for actual bright days
I have other expensive and cheap sunglasses and wanted these because they were orange. Another pair couldn't hurt. The fit and color are great, but the lenses are horrible when it comes to blocking the sun. On bright days with them on I still squint. I thought it might be because others I have are wider and block more periphery, but that's not it. I forced myself to wear them and my eyes were sensitive after indicating too much sun. I have the same problem with Dang shades that I stopped wearing, they just don't work and my eyes are sensitive after. I switched back to my Smiths and other better cheap glasses I like and don't have the sensitivity after.
Disappointed
I carried them in the pouch and box they came in while not in use. They slid off easily. Do not stay in place very well. As I retrieved them out of the pouch this morning they felt lighter than usual. One of the ear pieces stayed behind in the pouch. I was truly hoping to enjoy them for a long time.
seems like quality has degraded over the year
I had a pair of these in the past, and they were fine, but with this newer pair (same style), the film scratched immediately (impeding my vision, and obviously doesn't look good) within a few months, despite storing them properly. I'm not the MOST careful with storing them, but they're usually in the provided bag. I use them a lot for biking (city, gravel, and mountain biking) and running too. I felt like I was far less careful with the old pair, and the film on those lasted two years, versus these, 6 months at most. I suspect something changed between models but I can't be sure. I'm done buying Goodrs, I think I'll opt for more quality glasses in the future.
Good but lens issues
I’ve ordered these brand of glasses many times and love them. They are lightweight, comfortable, and good for any occasion. This last order is the first pair I’ve had where the lens were starting to have a peeling effect. Not sure why. Hopefully it won’t continue.
Ahoy There! Thank you so much for your feedback. It means a lot to us here at the Lagoon. We are currently looking into your issue. Be on the look out for an email from one of Carl’s trusty Parrots. If you have any other questions or concerns be sure to reach out to carltheflamingo@goodr.com!
Broke within 1 month
Horrific quality. Should have listened to the many reviews mentioning the poor durability. I treated these very carefully, ALWAYS put them into their pouch and/or a case when not wearing, and never dropped or smooshed them. This morning, I reached into the pouch to fish them out, and one of the temples broke off with virtually no force applied. Turns out the hinge is microscopically small and completely made of plastic. Complete waste of money.
