Love them so far
We moved from CA to MN and I needed some snow boots; my first snow boots. This is one of those things I wasn't excited about spending money but had to happen. Everybody told me about Sorels and other brands... I tried several, including the Sorels, but having a size 12 and being only 5'9 the Sorels looked huge and ridiculous especially due to their brighter mustard color. I liked these ones because they're all black so they don't appear as big, they're over 1lb lighter than the Caribous and have enough insulation (200g) to keep me warm. So far, they have kept my feet warm (I wear long Smartwool socks), they're comfortable to walk on for (so far) longer than 1 hour in the snow, and to me they look stylish enough to wear them casually as well. The only thing I would perhaps improve is the sole grip, but it's not bad enough to drop a star. I am very satisfied and I am confident they will last a long time. NOTE: they don't offer half sizes, but you want some room in there, so if you are a half size opt for the bigger size. It'll be better for your feet as far as keeping them warm.
Warm, padded and dry!
These boots are everything I hoped and dreamed of. They are tall, really comfortable, really warm, really dry, and so far they have held up really well. I bought them about a month into this past Minnesota winter, so I can't speak to their longevity yet.
