Great middle weight.
Great stand alone mid-temperature jacket. I use it alone when temps are above 20F….below 20F you might be reaching for another layer. I got the navy and I swapped the yellow draw cord with red paracord and navy cord locks, looks great. Also added red paracord zipper pull. Hood is nice and warm with adjustment in back. I’m 5’7” and 180lbs and got the mens medium. Seems like the right size. Great daily commuter and light trail duty.

No Wind Protection
Well built jacket with a good insulation level. Ended up returning after one wear for a neighborhood walk on a windy day. Despite the higher down fill, the wind blew through my jacket and I was shivering by the time I reached home. Temperature was in the 40-45F range. If it had a wind membrane, I'd still have it today.

Down puffy that is ready for the cold stuff.

Great down hoodie, not too baggy like some of the other brands (Patagonia etc). Love the fabric and down content (90/10). Only thing I wish it had is a 2 way zipper. Otherwise, I find it as warm if not warmer than my Down Sweater and slightly longer to cover your butt. I really like the UN Blue color. Haven't tried it with a pack yet to see how the synthetic insulation on the shoulders holds up. Zipper orientation doesn't bother me (as it appears to with some people) as I have a mix of Mammut, Mountain Equipment, and now Fjallraven that all zip on the opposite side compared to domestic brands.

Recommending this jacket to everyone!

I bought this jacket for my husband to take on cold weather hikes and it’s now his favorite jacket. He’s telling everyone they should get it. It’s very warm, comfortable, and zips up high to keep wind from hitting your neck.

Finally a jacket that fits

As a tall, thin guy (6'3", 185 lbs), it's always tough for me to find jackets that fit. This is especially true with down jackets where you generally want a close-to-body fit. I tried on a size Medium and knew immediately I was going to buy it. The sleeve length, body length, and body width almost feel tailor made. I do some mountaineering and freedom of movement is very important to me; again this jacket is perfect. I also love the styling, and while it's not the lightest of the light, it also feels more solidly constructed than many of the jackets I've tried on. I'm currently vacationing in Telluride, CO for Christmas and have walked around town in 20 degree weather and stayed very comfortable. Can't wait to try it out on the mountain. So far so good.

Awesome Jacket

This jacket is warm and has the most features compared to the other brands at the same price-point. I like being able to cinch the waist and hood to keep the cold air out. There is an elastic cord at the back of the hood that tightens the hood around my head, and the yellow shoestring type cords on the inside allow me to cover everything but my eyes. The collar is comfortable with the fleece lining, and the elastic around the arm cuffs are nice. I also like the large inside zipper pocket. I would definitely buy again.

Looks nice and is warm but isn’t durable

I love the look, fit, and feel of this jacket—it does its job and keeps me warm. However, I’ve had this jacket for less than a month and individual threads are coming out of the jacket from at least four places. If I’m going to pay $275 for a jacket, I expect it to be high-quality and more durable.

Compelling Puffy

I have always been hesitant to join the puffy trend, but now that I live in a colder climate I can see their merit. I did a lot of research and tried many competitors before landing on this Fjallraven. The Patagonia is also really nice, but more expensive, less durable feeling, and I don't like the boxy fit. This jacket may have a slightly worse weight-to-heat ratio than its competitors, but for a non-technical use case I think the trade-off of better durability and features is well worth it. It had a really lovely build quality and fits my frame perfectly. The leather drawstring cinches are a little weird and clumsy at first, but they do add a nice stylistic flair. I have a feeling I'll be wearing this piece for many years.

Not warm; poor quality

I found this jacket to be surprisingly NOT warm. The stitching on one arm baffle is also unraveling after two seasons of light use and the warranty repair is really taking a long time to even respond. The next coverage is GREAT. I'd return this jacket if I could.

Really great coat

I was a skeptic it would keep me warm and dry because this coat is so light, but I was wrong. After a week in the mountains of Colorado and snowy conditions, I was warm with just a base layer under this coat in temperatures down to 15 degrees. It is by far my favorite coat of all time, it is soft and comfortable, and it packs down small.

Soft puffy for cool temps

This puffy is best used for around 0 C to 5 C in dry weather, in sub zero temps it may not be warm enough. The fabric is soft and comfy to touch with a nice fleece lining on chin and neck area to keep that area warm and also helps if you have a beard. I'm about 170 cm, 66 kg and a small fit too tight in the chest and armpits, medium fits well relaxed with room to layer, the sleeves are just a bit long. The hood and collar have nice coverage to keep head and neck warm. Personally, I don't mind the yellow shoelace, it doesn't get in the way much. A great feature is the double zipper which allows you to vent heat without taking the jacket off.
