Fantastic Backpack!
What an amazing backpack. So lightweight, fits as much (maybe more than) the Cotapaxi 28L which is almost twice as expensive and weighs 3lbs compared to about 1lb for this wonderful, colorful pack. I LOVED the mix of colors I got and part of the fun is not knowing what you’ll get. Ignore the cranky reviewer who had difficulty reading the description and complained about the color they got. The description very clearly states that you cannot preselect the color as each bag is made from remnant material. I originally bought the Cotapaxi 28L for a trip and I think it’s a great product too, but it has no water bottle holder unlike its smaller, lighter friend. The 28L IS made of thicker, sturdier material, has a side handle so can be carried like a suitcase and a great hip, belt for weight distribution. The 24l doesn’t have those features. But for a lightweight pack that will serve my travel need well and will be a great day pack for hiking I am sold!

BEWARE: photo's online don't match product
In the small print at the bottom of the description they mention they can't guarantee the color of the backpack they send you. I only realized this having gone back and read ALL of the details. And, the pictures online don't give you the impression there's multiple different options that could be sent (the one I received was purple vs. green with pink on the bottom). Hoping REI can fix that moving forward for other members so they don't need to spend time making needless returns.

Style But No Function

The bag gets 5 stars for looks but 1 star for function. I love the colors, you don’t get a choice but mine were great. I used the pack for a trip to South Africa. I was constantly stepping on or having the straps catch because there is no where to “store” the excess strap - they are too long to just be left dangling. The top handle is made of a thin canvas and is too narrow to use, cuts into your hand. The outer side pockets, usually for water bottles do not have elastic so my bottle kept sliding out if the pack was set down. Overall not happy with the purchase

Fits My Entire Life

I started medical school last summer and originally bought a backpack from another outdoor goods brand because I liked the idea of how many pockets it had. I wanted to use them all and be so organized. This was so wrong. I needed a black hole of a bag, and that’s when I turned to Cotopaxi. The Batac 24 fits my daily school stuff, workout clothes, my lunchbox, an extra fleece, and I can strap my running shoes to the outside. In the 2 weeks since getting my backpack I’ve had half a dozen classmates and strangers comment on how fun the Del Dia colorway. I’m so happy with this backpack, it has made my life so much easier especially on long study days!

Great for work and travel

I bought this for extra room to carry things to and from work. I was drawn to the colors, I love anything bright and crazy. I was hoping for more divided pouches like in the small bag but it just has the two. It’s a great size for work or travel, the pouches are a good size. I do have trouble with the shoulder straps slipping down because they are really wide but if I use the chest clasp I have no problems.

Simple bag for simple things

I use this backpack to for my clothes when I go camping. I can put tons of clothes in this, at least a week's worth or more. Just roll them up and in they go. It's rather huge for just a quick day hike, but if you were going to go for a picnic, it would be ideal as it's SO HUGE! haha that's what she said. I really have no complaints about this bag. But it looks cuter when stuff full, that's why I use this mostly as my luggage. But I'm a simple girl.

Very Colorful

The quality of the backpack was decent but wow were the colors far different than shown and far more extreme. I understood prior to ordering that the colors would vary but once received the bag looked like a rainbow was thrown in a blender for the final product. As usual, REI is great with returns. Very nice size bag thought.

BOOM! BABY!

This bag is perfect. Thought it wouldn’t hold up as well but we put about 20 pounds of stuff in it and it holds up fine. The colorations are also fun. Love Cotopaxi products. Also thanx for fast shipping
