Overall these seem like great pants. Short length is appropriate. But too much waist gap will counteract the purpose of these. I’ve also ordered the bib version which hopefully will eliminate this particular problem. If you are a straight fit, these should be great pants for you. If you have curves and struggle with the waist gap in other pants, skip these.
I'm 5'2" and the petite snowpants hit an inch above the bottom of my boot. No snow pant dragging or fabric bunching! I'm still a comfortable temperature wearing light leggings and these snowpants in 0° Fahrenheit when outside for an hour+. Would definitely recommend!
Happy to find these pants for skiing as over the past year I got rid of 50+ pounds and needed new ones. I am 5'5", now 161 lbs. and curvy; I also need a shorter length pant as I have more height in my torso than my legs. Hallelujah - these Large Petites fit! (When a comparable pair of Large Short Obermeyers I also tried on did not; the Obermeyer waist was way too big!) The internal adjustable waist and thigh vents are a nice touch, appreciate the zippered pockets and articulated knees. Would like a few more technical items, like zippered ankles instead of "bell-bottomed" legs, and mesh in the thigh vents, but they appear to be a great basic pant for the price. Not heavily insulated but fortunately I don't often get cold. Bought a black pair in store, ordered dark green (Sea Forest) at checkout - and they arrived just a few days later. Haven't skied in them yet but looking forward to it.
I was excited to receive these new snow pants, hoping they'd keep me warm outdoors throughout the winter. Much to my dismay, they were huge on me. I ordered a size Small Petite based on the size charts and the reviews I read. When I tried them on it seemed like they must have been mislabeled as they were huge on me. I'm 5' 2" and weigh 100 lbs, and according to the chart I should fit nicely in the Small Petite. Unfortunately I need to return them without using them given how big they are.
I’ve had incredible luck with other REI petite styles and was pretty disappointed by the fit of these. I loved the color and the was so excited to get these in the mail, but the pants were comically wide (from hips to ankles) on my petite frame. I’d love to see a redesign of these from the REI team because I think this product could be great!
I got these because I needed a bigger size but also short length. The length was great. The size is a little too big for me but luckily they have adjustable waist to make them fit bigger. If I had time I probably wouldve exchanged for the smaller size. I wored these in Antarctica. They kept me warm and dry. No leakage. Im 5'4 and the length was perfect
I just received these and haven't used them, but generally like them. They do run large. I order a Petite Small and was worried from the size chart that the might be snug, but they are definitely too big. I will be returning them and hoping the Petite Extra Smalls become available. For reference, I'm 5'3", 125 lbs and have an athletic build.
Excellent pants. I’m 5’1” and they are a little long but work well with boots. They are bery comfortable and warm! MIt’s not easy to find good petite pants, but I’ve had luck with REI brands!
Reviews said ran very large - I disagree. Maybe they changed the design but Petite xs was too tight on me at 5ft/115 lb. These fit like some Petite xs do; definitely NOT bigger than most pants of this size. Seem like good ski pants so I'll try the petite small.
These fit so well and very easily adjustable as well. I’m 5’0 and they fit great length wise as well and those are hard to find.
