Preface: I own 4 other long-sleeve smartwool shirts. I bought this because I liked the pattern, but realized after trying two different sizes that it's the sole reason for the cost of this item. The patterned design, plus the areas of elastic-knitting create a strangely tight fit where your shoulders/chest are much tighter than the rest of the shirt, so it's not that comfortable. Furthermore, it's just not that warm feeling even at a 200. I'll wear my 100% merino 250 base layer over this any day. (And save about $30 in the process!)
Great base layer, sleeves are a tad short, otherwise very good all around. Wear it all the time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear a size large in all my tops and am muscular. This fits like a baselayer should, it is snug around all areas and a little more loose at the wrists, which I like because I wear a watch. It is a little tighter than i would like around the upper arms. If you have big arms or want a more loose fit i would suggest to size up. Despite feeling light this baselayer is warm when not moving and sheds heat well when moving.
I own Smartwool base layers. Both top and bottom. They're kinda scratchy. That's ok when it's really cold, but when it heats up, scratchy is uncomfortable. This intraknit is really soft. Really comfortable warm and cold. Love the pattern..... Maybe Smartwool will produce a intraknit bottom......
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So warm! Comfortable and form fitting. Neck is not tight and sleeve length is long (just past the wrist). For reference, I purchased a medium for husband who is 5'11" weighs 165 lbs. Material is not restrictive as a base layer. Movement is easy and keeps heat in well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Ski base layer and every-day-it's-cold layer. I upsized myself from M to L and went from compression to luxurious comfort. It's a shame to bury this stylish fabric under a top layer because it's so warm looking. Classic purchase; favorite go-to garment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was too tight in the chest and too long in the sleeves so I sent it back with the label provided. 3 weeks have passed and my account has not yet been credited back, but smart wool is spamming me for a review. Here you go
Great layer piece as well as a dress look under the Men's Intraknitâ„¢ Merino Sport Fleece Full Zip Hoodie. The hand and softness of this fabric brings Smartwool back into the top of the line category.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore smart wool for years as a base layer. When I ordered sweaters and pullovers based on the size I had always had worn, they were all too small, especially below my chest. Very disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fabric on this shirt was amazing. Ordered in blue and thinking about going back for the red as the color and print is amazing. Very good looking shirt.
