Fantastic Distance Buddies!
Ran the CO Tough Mudder in June and had not worn these before the race . . . I felt a big difference in leg fatigue and soreness (or lack thereof) wearing these during our ten mile muddy mess! Lots of other folks were cramping up along the trail but no one on our team had any trouble since we were all wearing the leg sleeves. I run decent distances on my training runs and definitely notice soreness during and after my runs, but wearing these for the ten miles made such a difference I didn't even think about leg pain the entire time. Super comfy, no bunching or pinching, completely forgot I was even wearing them. Feel true to size, but even if you order a size too small they stretch a decent amount. Great piece to add to your training collection!
Not a pro, but I still love them
I am by no means a professional athlete, and it would take a plague on all healthy people in the US for me to be considered a serious runner. That being said, after my runs or rides I am a big fan of these compression sleeves. I can't say if they do anything as grandiose as reducing my recovery time or improving my performance, but they definitely feel great. They provide extra support and relief if I've given myself shin splints. It may be entirely mental, but I definitely FEEL better when I use these after working out.
Best Marathon Recovery Product EVER!
I have been using Zensah calf sleeves to recover from my long runs and races for several years and could not be happier with them. Wearing them as recovery items after the marathon made recovery a cinch. The next day I was walking around just fine and felt great. Gave my mom a pair (we do marathons together) and she loves them too! I have also used them when traveling long distances both in the car and by plane and they make your legs feel great afterwords. Also, they wash well and have held up great for the past year plus I have been using them regularly.
Worth every penny!
I bought these for my mom because she was having foot pain after working all day on concrete floors. She wears them all the time and states that her feet don't hurt anymore when wearing these.
Stumbled Upon This While In Store
Looking for compression socks for edema in lower legs. I'm on my feet all day in work boots or sitting in car for hours. Stumbled upon these on the rack while in the local REI store. Thought I would give them a try. Impressed with them. Use the single pair I have 4 days straight before washing (gross, I know... I take them off immediately after work and don't wear them around unless I'm working). They seem to be holding up to the extreme use. Notice some possible stretching but still tight enough to offer compression support. Seems to go back to normal after washing. Definitely getting another pair to alternate. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is on their feet all day or needs for leg edema.
Wish I'd started wearing them earlier
I'm an ER nurse in my 60's and had been hearing for years that I should wear compression stockings since I'm on my feet so much. When I really started noticing the swelling in my lower legs after a 12 hour shift, I finally broke down and tried them. After one day, the difference in the swelling and, more importantly, how my legs felt, was so dramatic I wished I done this years ago. I started preaching the benefits to my colleagues and one said, when I hear someone who's been a nurse this long, I listen. Did a 12 mile hike to over 10K feet yesterday and at the peak it occurred to me how much better my legs would feel with compression sleeves. I'm buying another pair of these for hiking this week; grey, so they won't show the trail dust as much.
Starchy sock flaskback
The fabric and fit has changed over the past year and to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The fabric is stiff, smaller sized, and not as comfortable as my previous several pairs. It’s stiff like cotton socks of the 80’s that were over starched. During activities like running or being on your feet all day as a nurse- the stiffness begins to feel terrible as there is no “compression’”- just a lt attempt to cut into your skin… please don’t buy any of the new pairs- or at least test out the fabric to make sure it has some stretch…
Good for Plane Rides & Post Training
I purchased these compression sleeves for use on 20+ hr plane trips. They were comfortable and my calves didn't ache during the trip. Also, I didn't have any swelling. I'm an active woman, in good shape and use these after I work out. They seem to make my calves relax, post training.
Love these! -Help my leg cramps
I took these with me on the Camino de Santiago, just as a small “extra.” Well, about 15 days into my 40 day walk I was SO GLAD I brought them! At night my legs would start to cramp, making it difficult to fall asleep. I put the compression sleeves on my legs and they were an instant fix. For me they work like a charm, not to mention that they are very comfortable after a day of hiking! So glad I took them with me!
Hikes, walking the dog, airplane trips
These sleeves have just the right amount of distributed compression for me! Just returned from a plane trip without swollen feet/legs. Great for hikes and long dog walks. Helps with recovery and that little extra support during. Might be a bit warm for summer time hikes, but I’ll give it a try. I like how they aren’t so tight on the top that they leave marks yet they stay put.
