I’ve had mine for a couple of years. They take a beating, and my uppers have yet to give out! I will admit, I have had them resoled recently by a third company, and they still feel fantastic. Out of the box, they’re mega malleable. However, they won’t really stretch with time, so find your comfortable street shoe size. 5.10/Adidas does a great job with consistency, so consider that when choosing the shoe for you. Compared to other trad shoes, these feel more sensitive. You will feel EVERYTHING. That can be good, yet it’s also not for the faint of heart. They will jam into tighter cracks with the trade off of extra sensitivity- so don’t expect the layers to beef up your nerves when you’re trying to get in deep- you asked for this when you slipped them on and grabbed onto that rock (or plastic, no judgment). 10/10, they work as intended and I will resole these until the world sets ablaze.
Looking at getting my 3rd pair. These are my go to favorites. Sexy, comfortable, great trad shoe, and works well for sport. Great support, they edge well, and met a few boulders who swear by them.
I’ve had these shoes for almost a year now, and I can’t get enough of them! My heel never fit right in the TC Pros, so I’d been on the hunt for a good high top trad shoe. After trying about 3 other pairs, I finally came across these and I am just thrilled. They’re incredibly comfortable, have minimal stretch (so you can tell pretty much immediately how they will fit), have a nice stiff midsole which makes crack climbing a breeze, and even have a nice subtle downturn which makes edging in these bad boys a breeze! I’ve worn them for a year and the downturn has yet to disappear so that’s cool. As for sizing, I typically wear a street size 10.5 women’s, and I wear a size 9 in these and it’s perfect. I do have a more narrow foot, so take that as you will. Some people have commented that the C4 rubber is not the same since Adidas took over 5.10, but the rubber on these shoes are quite fantastic and I see no difference in rubber between these and the older 5.10 models.
Thee are by far the best shoe that Adidas/5.10 makes. I really hope they do not make the mistake of discontinuing this shoe like they have so many in the past. DO NOT BOTCH THIS 5.10
comfortable out of the box, no confusion with sizing (just get your adidas shoe size) great rubber, edge like a pro. a bit softer and more sensitive than the pro’s. all around a great shoe if pro’s hate your feet like they do mine
I bought these because TC pros just dont quite fit my feet but after a decent amount of climbing I just never really loved them. They felt clunky and unsensitive. Have set up a return and will retry TC pros downsizing (again) and if that fails i will use muira lace for trad
To be fair, I only have two days on these shoes, but first impressions are that they are amazing. So happy Five Ten finally came out with a mid top. The sole is pretty stiff so they are comfortable to stand on holds for a long time. Overall extremely happy.
I'm usually a size 7.5 in adidas footwear, I sized up half a size for these and they are very comfortable and tight at the same time, by far the best climbing shoes I've owned.
Amazing trad climbing shoe with ankle protection and hen jamming around. Please keep them coming
Amazing trad shoes ! Comfortable out of the box and the high top protects ankles well.
