REI bike shop people are terrific!
The kit works as advertised. More importantly, the people at the REI bike shop are always phenomenally helpful.

didn't work well with road bike tire
i was excited to get this kit to repair my schwalbe pro one tire. the cut is about 3mm and sealant wouldn't seal it. after inserting the thin plug, it held air ok. but just 10 mins into the ride, the seal opened up and sealant wouldn't seal up the hole anymore. the plug eventually came off. after cleaning up the sealant, i realized the insertion tool actually made the hole bigger and now it's impossible to seal up with plug anymore. this plug may work better with mtn bike tires with lower pressure, but it won't hold air on road bike tires with higher pressure. i ended up using a patch to plug up the hole from inside. if you're reading this and thinking of getting it, you maybe better off using the tubeless specific patch from inside the tire.

AVOID for Tubeless Road Tires

Does not work well with road tires. Due to the higher pressures of road tubeless (50psi - 70psi) these plugs don’t stay in for more than 1/2 a mile or so. Out of 5 times I’ve tried to plug a GP5000 S TR, it has only worked once - I followed muc-offs instruction video. So a 20% success rate - not great. I tried small plugs, large plugs, multiple plugs in the same hole but they just wouldn’t seal at higher pressure

Muc off repair kit

When on a 60 mile ride the repair plunger broke in half and was left stranded on the side of the road.

Easy to use repair kit

So far luckily I haven’t needed to use it. A friend had one and it got me home when I had a hole that was too big to seal up on its own, so I went out and got one for that next just incase situation.

Puncture plug kit

"Muc-off puncture plug" is a small kit that's worth carrying on a long ride. Easy to use and an effective fix for tubeless mtb tires. Just need an air cartridge or pump to continue on.

Good stuff!

Hopefully you’ll never need to plug a tire. If you do, this kit will do you right.
