These are my first pair of Hoka running shoes, and I could not be more impressed. They are incredibly comfortable, and quite cushiony. At first, I worried that the back of the shoe would rub against my ankle b/c it’s much higher than what I have had with other shoes. However, I had no issues with that at all. The one thing I would say is that I usually like to purchase running shoes up a 1/2 size (compared to my regular shoes). However, this model in size 7 1/2 were too large. I switched them for size 7, which fit perfectly. I feel like I could run in these forever! I highly recommend trying these if you have never tried Hoka running shoes before.
Dropping this review for my partner for whom I bought the shoes. These won't be used for running (at least not primarily). She is on her feet most of the day for work and needed something to help with support and comfort. These check both boxes. I got her a 7 1/2 wide; it's always nice to find a brand that offers those in-between sizes and widths. Although she loves these shoes, she finds the toe box just a bit too roomy. Other than that, these provide ample support (she's been dealing with sore heals lately) and the comfort level is excellent. She recommends these and is looking forward to her next pair of Hoka footwear.
I love the HOKA ONE ONE brand. I love ordering them through REÍ. What I don’t love is that each time I have purchased online and have gone to pick up the shoe I bring them home only to find it’s the shoe that someone had tried on or had returned and had used them enough that the bottom of the shoes are smudged and the shoes are not in their company wrappers. Call me cry baby but I really like to know that the shoes I order are brand new, never tried on. Might not order online any longer and purchase only in store in the future.
Love my Hoka Cliftons! This is my fifth pair. I keep coming back to replace when my walking finally wears the treads down. The toe box is roomy, the sole is cushiony & supportive. I wear an 8.5 and they run true to size. The latest iteration has a change to the heel back. I was concerned it might rub upper ankle - it does not. I walk 3-8 miles daily and these shoes remain comfortable. I will be back for another pair when I walk through this pair!
I'm a fan of the Cliftons and wore version 5 and 6. The 7 has an attached tongue which I find very uncomfortable. No matter how I adjust the laces, the shoe feels too tight because the tongue is pressing down on the top of my foot. I need a deep toe box with plenty of room because I wear orthotics and also have neuropathy. That's the only reason I wear these shoes, because I think they're ugly and huge looking on my skinny feet/legs. Not sure what I'll do now. If I keep them I'm going to have to cut the mesh sling in four spots to release the tongue. More padding on the tongue would also help.
Easy and fast purchase of my first pair of Hoka’s. Delivered in a couple of days these shoes fit great. I enjoy long walks along the local trails that sometime are a little steep. This pair provides good traction and support underfoot since I prefer a lighter shoe other than a hiking shoe. Also my choice when attending a tour of the new stadium.
I’ve been wearing these for two weeks and I couldn’t be more pleased. I was looking for a running shoe with a bit more cushioning than my Asics Kayano’s and these do the trick. These are lightweight, have breathable fabric and the thick cushioning. The footbed is a little wide on these, but I like this aspect of the fit. Grab them while they are on sale!
Great shoe for walking. Recommended by podiatrist after a stress fracture in bottom of foot. The shoe is incredibly cushy and truly feels like walking on a cloud. Have a narrow foot and per many reviews, sized 1/2 size down and shoe fits great.
After an hour poring over reviews of road running shoes, I finally settled on this beauty, and I don't think I could be happier. It's super light-weight, the spring with each step makes you feel like you're running on clouds, and they are incredibly easy to put on and extremely comfortable to wear. I am a new runner, and I am still doing a lot of walking, too, but I wanted good quality shoes to support me, and these fit the bill perfectly. They don't feel or look huge on my feet like I saw some reviews saying of other HOKA shoes (and perhaps these); I love the way they look, actually, and the colors are gorgeous. I also love the feel of the laces and how easy they are to tie, tighten, and loosen. The only negative thing I have to say about these shoes is that occasionally the inside sole of my right foot aches for the first while of wearing them, as the bottom of the shoe feels like it has a bump in a weird place, but I think that's actually a problem with the shape of my foot or the pattern of my step, rather than the shoe itself. Hands down 100% would buy these again.
Extremely comfortable and cushioned. I have issues with pain in my heel and these Hokas have stopped the pain. I walk 6 miles 3 times a week without pain the next day. Highly recommend.
