My favorite hat!

I wore this cap every day on my 30+ day Colorado Trail thru-hike. This cap performed splendidly through all 500 miles of it. The material is soft and lightweight (very comfortable!), and it did not lose its shape despite the daily rainstorms (wore it under the hood of my rain jacket for extra rain protection). It dried very quickly too. It also doesn't retain odors. The little zip pocket was helpful on town days to hold ID, cash, and a credit card. Very happy with this purchase although it was a bit pricey.

A+ Hat

Wow this hat is awesome. I bought it for running to keep the sun off my face a little better and I find myself wearing it all the time - hiking, lounging at the pool, shopping, etc. It is so easy to adjust how tight it is one handed (and without having to take it off) which is a huge plus. When the wind kicks up on the run you can pull the tab and are good to go. I also wore it kayaking and it was nice to be able to get it tight enough that the wind wouldn't blow it away. I was nervous about it at first given the price, but it has been worth every cent. If you don't think you would use the pocket (I haven't yet), it really doesn't add any bulk and it so lightweight anyway that you don't notice it if you don't need it.

Great simple cap with features

I've bought five (and lost one) of these now and in three colors. It's a great, comfortable hat for long times in wet or hot weather, and dries quickly when needed. The pocket is great for an emergency $20 bill. My hats are all a version that doesn't have a logo on the front (and I've not figured out how to discern which will or won't have the logo) so don't assume your hat will match REI's picture.

Favorite Running Hat

I'm in love with the Transit Tech Cap, so much so, this is my second one. The zipper pocket is perfect for tissues and a gel. It's feather light, breathable and super cute too.

Great hat

This is a great hat , and I love the design . I Bought the hat in black because I could not find any other colors . The adjustment in back needs to be improved , the locking mechanism does not secure tightly and the elastic tends to work against trying to get a snug fit !

Best Running Hat Ever

I bought this hat four months ago and have put countless miles in wearing it. The hat is light weight, sweat wicking, and dries extremely quickly without retaining odor. The zipper on the side of the hat is the best feature and allows me to put my car key in the hat instead of in my pack or stowing it in my car’s gas cap. I plan on buying more running products from this company.

Awesome hat - good fit!

Great hat - love the pocket in the side of it! I slip some cash and my ID in it when I take a hike or a long walk. The adjustable strap is great - wish it had a loop to hold the excess length. If you can get it in stock, it’s great! Took considerably longer to arrive than originally promised.

Hats off to Janji! Great running/all-around hat!

Easily my favorite hat. DWR material keeps my head cool and dry.  I love the zipped pocket where I can put my ID and key during runs. I never knew of Janji brand before and so thankful that I saw it on REI. I purchased more Janji hats after this one and I couldn't be more pleased!

junk

Constantly rides up off my head unless I crank the strap really tight, in which case the strap comes loose on its own in little time. Don’t waste your money.

clasp broke easily

Plastic clasp broke easily, rendering the hat useless. With some effort I’m sure I can get a replacement clasp from a sewing supply store or something, but a shame for such an essential part to break to easily and be so tedious to fix for most… rendering the rest of the products material “waste” too soon potentially.
