Does not work with racks narrower than 4.75"
Seems like good value for the money, but unfortunately REI incorrectly lists this as fitting racks LONGER than 4.75" when it should be WIDER than 4.75". Found this out the hard way after ordering for my Axiom Streamliner rear rack that measures about 4" wide. I will ask REI to update their description.
Easy installation if it fits
Specs on REI is missing the minimal width requirement for the rear bike rack. I have a Tubus Logo Evo and the rack width is too narrow for this bike seat to clamp onto. I didn't know about this requirement until reading the manual after trying and failing to mount the seat.
Flawed
I’ve been on several rides since buying this seat and I don’t like it much. The rear compartment is pretty useless. If you hit a bump, the plastic storage net pops off and all your stuff dumps on the ground. But my biggest complaint pertains to the shoulder straps. They don’t hold my child securely. By the end of the ride, his little shoulders have slipped out of the straps and he’s being held by just the other 3 points of the 5 point harness. Also, the foot straps will break soon. It’s inevitable considering the poor design.
Toddler loves it!
Easy install, handy pocket, comfortable ride. Single parent able to get kid in and out, though nice to have a spotter.
