Hello.Iam A land surveyor in Arizona, I hike in some of the most extreme environments.115 degree weather out on the side of a desert mountain.where nobody been in probably 1000 years .you get my point this Camelback waterbag saves my life, and others.ive had many men have to be rescued my Camelback waterbag.they run out I still have ice cold water that I end up haveing to share.just to get them down and safely in the truck,on way to hospital.its extreme and I have owed alot Camelback there products is the best. Thanks Camelback.
The title for this product is wrong: it is a 2.5 liter pack, not 3 liters. Cons: The pack could easily hold a 3 liter reservoir. Why did they use 2.5 liter? When the 2.5 liter reservoir is filled, it becomes very "thick" and spherical. What happened to the style of reservoir that has a "tuck" down the middle to keep the shape flatter? The drinking hose is too short. Camelbak offered to send a reservoir with a longer hose. It is very difficult to push the hose into the clamp on the shoulder strap. Very difficult. I often don't bother and let it dangle. Dumb. Twice I asked Camelbak via email if there is a way to move the hose clamp to a lower position on the shoulder strap but no answer. I figured out how to do it but it's not that easy. There are no small pockets or compartments inside the pack. The smallest pocket (located at the top of the pack) is the only place to store smaller items unless you put them in one of the external mesh pockets. No good place for car keys, wallet, energy bars, multi-tool, sunglasses, lip balm, cell phone, etc. If you put these things in the top pocket everything get jumbled up together. I like light colored packs because they keep the contents a bit cooler (for years I've used a yellow Camelbak). Both color choices are very dark. Forget taking energy bars with chocolate (melts in the first 30 min) unless maybe you bury them inside the pack. Pros: Well made. But the materials are light weight so I don't expect it to be as bombproof as my older Camelbaks.
Love this thing. It's the perfect hiking bag. Hold plenty of water and lunch as well as other essentials. Seriously has made hiking more enjoyable because I'm always fully hydrated at the end.
This a a great pack. It’s my first hydration pack so I don’t have too much to compare it to. But it’s been pretty durable so far and great for day hikes. My only gripe is that the hook for the tube is too high up and can’t be moved. This leave part of the tube just jutting way out to the side. I end up tucking it into the chest strap because there seems to be no other solution.
I am very dissatisfied with the Cloudwalker 18. The nozzle and tubing is to stiff as far as I am concerned. The older Camelbak that I had the nozzle and tubing was a lot more flexible and easier to use. The present nozzle and tubing is difficult to keep in the mouth because of the stiffness.
Service was awesome. After I purchased realized it may take two to three times daily weeks to come in which was after I needed it. Called and they made sure it got right out. Thanks!!! Well made and easy to fill the water bladder!!! Recommend and would purchase again if needed
Love that it’s simple and lightweight. I thought I was going to love this pack but there were a couple of things missing. Simple hip/waist belt would have alleviated annoying rub, 2/ a specific place to put the mouth nozzle when not using
This is one of the gifts on my daughter's Xmas list. She hasn't opened her gift yet, but I know she will be thrilled that she finally has her Camelbak Hydration Pack!
Sleek, lightweight with a good water capacity for day hiking. Not as much carrying capacity as expected but that’s a trade off for being lightweight.
Works even better than my "old" Cloud Walker.
