Good bye backpack
Finally, I can carry my laptop safely in my rollover panniers. No more sweaty back from having to use a back pack to move the computer from home to office. My 15" laptop fits well, with room to have a tablet share the ride. Not sure anything larger would work in the sleeve though. Slides in and out of the bag easily when loaded. Dividers and pockets are great for small bits. Even when I'm not hauling a laptop, the organizer is great to keep from having to dig through the bag for small items. Cost effective way to expand the versatility of the already amazing rolltop bags. Of course, until REI acknowledges the right of its workers to organize, just buy it direct from Ortlieb.
Transports Larger Laptops With Confidence
I've recently made the transition from biking with a backpack to biking with panniers. After doing my research I settled on a single Ortlieb Back Roller Urban. That solved my eternal issues with arriving everywhere with a sweaty back, but I was surprised to find how difficult it was to stow my 15" laptop inside. The bag comes with minimal organization. Some might be able to snugly fit their tiny laptop in the narrow pocket near the back, but not I. That's where this comes in. I like that it keeps my laptop squarely against the back of the bag, and provides a bit of padding. Indeed, before this organizer I caused minor cosmetic damage to my computer dropping the bag squarely on its bottom a foot or two. I don't think that will be happening again. With my single pannier, and this organizer I now feel comfortable bringing my laptop, a water bottle, gym clothes, climbing shoes, and a mason-jar lunch back and forth to work each day. This is chiefly the result of this organizer's unique shape, allowing it to fill the interior of the bag entirely with no wasted space. Another highly underrated feature of this organizer is that it causes the entire bag to stand up when placed on the ground instead of rolling over -- something that oft annoyed me about the bag previously. The organizer slides out of the bag with my stuff smoothly, which is great when I go to the office and leave the bag attached to my bike. Sometimes as I slide it into the bag, it has a tendency to get caught on the existing, but meager bag organizer. A slight problem, but c'est la vie. I think that it's possible to remove the built in organizer by partially deconstructing the bag, and might do so one day if I'm feeling ambitious. It's a bit spendy for an organizer, but I'm willing to throw down on things that I use every day. The quality has so far been as expected, no rips tears or stains, and it definitely improves my quality of life enough to justify it.
A bike commuter's dream come true
Fantastic for commuting! This solves the pannier-black-hole problem, one of the chief downsides to carrying things in panniers. You know your gloves are somewhere in there, under your lunch, work computer, shirt, and raincoat... This thing has so many great little pockets--- 5, plus a laptop sleeve--- that all my stuff ends up in their perfect little place. It also adds all that organization without taking up too much extra space, which is nice. An unexpected benefit is that it adds some rigidness to the bottom of the bag, which makes it easier to load and unload. I've been using it to go to work and run errands for a few weeks now and it has made my life so much easier! I will add, as well, that I will probably leave it behind for bike touring--- the extra weight is just too much--- but, I will leave it behind sadly, for sure. This organizer makes the pannier just so much more functional.
Nobody said you cant use it in other bags
At first glance this is a slightly overpriced organizational insert that robs you of a liter of storage from your classic Backroller due to foam and structure. But once you realize it fits comfortably in ANY 30L-40L backpack (not just Ortlieb's panniers) it becomes a way to very quickly transfer your entire kit from one bag to another as the demands of your commute or ride change.
So functional for commuting!
i was skeptical of this one size fits all solution - but in the end - it absolutely works! I have the large ortlieb back-roller panniers from about 10 years ago. It fit perfectly in there, as well as holding an HP zbook laptop securely. Was VERY skeptical of the laptop feature since it tapers at the bottom, but it fits perfectly. The key strap is a a very helpful feature.

Get this bag now if you have Ortlieb panniers! I've had it less than a week and am constantly amazed at how much easier it makes finding anything in the cavernous bag. I was worried it would eat up a lot of interior space but it more than makes up for it in letting you use the bag better.
MUST HAVE FOR PANNIERS
I’ve used this organizer for over 3 years and LOVE IT! This organizer is crucial if you use an Ortleib pannier for commuting to school/work/etc. I used my pannier without the organizer for months, and was constantly losing things or pulling everything out to find one thing at the bottom of the bag. The laptop sleeve protects my laptop well, there are several pockets for water bottles, pen pouch, laptop charger, notebooks, keys. This organizer will transform your pannier experience!
Better than baggies
Well made and prevents my smaller items (phone, keys, earbuds-- which i kept in a ziplock bag prior) from being lost in the bottom of a bucket. Love the laptop padding!

It could be so much better.
Too expensive for what it does. Which to be honest isn’t enough. I wouldn’t pay $50 for it that’s for sure. I bought it somewhere else for half the price and I’m still very disappointed.
