I spent hours of research before deciding on this particular device. That being said, this has been a asset to my training. There are videos on how to use it properly. I also bought a case on Amazon. The Plus has 30% more power than the Hypervolt. Noise level is good even when you increase the speed the noise stays at the same level. Which means you can talk to someone and not have to raise your voice. Battery life is 2 hrs plus which I have only charged once and been using daily before training and after. I most definitely would recommend this.

I've never paid a premium for an item and had it not work on arrival. :( I have emailed the company and have yet to hear back from them. Very disappointing. I'm sure it's a great product once it's working.

Hypervolt is magic!

I had an adductor/high hamstring injury from running too much. I spent 3 months unable to run more than a mile. I went to physical therapy, and while that helped me strengthen the surrounding muscles, it didn’t help with directly with the injury/pain I was experiencing. I bought this after receiving my yearly REI dividend and it has been a life changer for me. I used it for a week or two and not long after was able to return to running almost normal - even 7 to 8 miles at a time at my normal pace. I’m sure there were multiple things that went into play here, but hypervolt really helped speed up the healing process. Can’t recommend enough. Plus, my cat freaking loves it! She comes running anytime she hears it.

Good but questionable QC and workmanship

Definitely more powerful than the original but several times during the first few days of use it wouldn't start. It seemed to be binding and once I pushed back and forth on the attachment, it worked. The issues stopped after the first few days. Compared to the original Hypervolt , there's also more flex between the unit and the battery. It works and works well but for the price, a better quality product and a product that was tested before being shipped should be expected.

Outstanding Device that Increases Performance

On the recommendation of an ex-NFL football player I purchased a HyperVolt with the thought that it might be useful for my son (who plays college football) but I thought I would start with myself. I'm in my mid-40's and play racquetball 3 days a week and my typical post play experience felt like near disability (stiff legs, with sore hip-flexors, lower back and serving arm) with the following day feeling like general exercise soreness and by the 2nd day I was generally ready to play again. With the HyperVolt Plus I incorporated a post game massage (typically I would spend ~30 minutes on all the affect areas above) where I would recover my range of motion to the point that it puts my recovery 24 hours ahead of schedule which seems to help clear up some lingering minor injuries due to the accelerated recovery. I then decided to start using the HyperVolt Plus pre-game because I'm not the guy that spends time stretching (either pre or post game) and initially my thought was that it would help prevent future injuries (no injuries so far) but what I discovered is that my game play has had a marked improvement in my early game play where my 1st game was typically a warm up game I'm now consistently winning the 1st and 2nd games (generally I was middle of the pack). Due to my size I typically tail off a little bit around games 3 or 4 (which still happens) but I'm impressed with my overall improved play and health (recovered injuries). If you haven't used a percussion massager it's generally not a relaxing experience but what it does is simply magic when it comes to muscle recovery. Last note, I gave it 5 stars which it is but I saw another reviewer talked about the binding issue (and high pitch whine) and I experienced this exact problem (matter of fact the unit was loud as well) so I contacted Hyperice and they sent me a brand new unit so there might be some quality control issues but overall you won't be disappointed with this unit.

Highly recommend if you get tight muscles

My muscles are more prone to getting tight than your average person, and I've tried all variety of methods for loosening them. I decided to give this a try and return it if it didn't work for me. It worked, and I now can't imagine ever living without it. If you're somebody that also deals with tight muscles/tissues, I would highly recommend you give this (or a similar percussion massager) a shot.

I purchased the Hypervolt plus it was ok but ended up returning it and purchased a Nimbl, which was more powerful and quieter. I am glad I made the switch..

New product does not work

Purchased this product and recieved it 3 days later After charging the device for the alotted time the machine did not turn on or do anything else The packaging the device came in was also bent at the corners and the instruction book was also bent. Even though I purchased this product as a new item I'm not entirely sure I recieved a "new" one.

Great Massage Gun

This massage gun has been very helpful for my recovery routine! Prior to shelter in place, I got massages more regularly so having this the last 3 months has been awesome! Very powerful and the three speeds are nice as well. Battery life could be better and it does get a bit hot after using for a longer period of time (In one sitting that is). Overall I am happy with the hypervolt!

Disappointed

Helped me recover after long runs, but after only three weeks of purchase/use the charger started to make a high-pitched noise, the rubber on one the attachments got worn down and ripped, and the device heated up after a few minutes of use.
