My search is over! Been looking for years for baggies I can stand to wear on the big-climbing cross country and enduro rides in Utah. The Luxe has a yoga-style waistband that is forgiving of the new spare tire around my middle, no snap closure and no waistband to bind and annoy while wearing a liner short. At 5’7” 120 lbs and grandma age, I am squarely in-between sizes small and medium. Small looked great in the mirror but I opted for the medium for better waist comfort on the bike. Top quality construction and great design when paired with the Troy Lee floral top, couldn’t be happier with my purchase! No more wearing random running tops over Lycra, I’m now a Troy Lee fan.
I wear these all the time. Usually wear between a M and L, so went with L which was a good choice. I do need to utilize the drawstring to keep them exactly where I want them on my hips. Things I love about these shorts: zippered pocket conveniently located toward the back of the shorts, which means I can comfortably carry my phone there without noticing as I'm peddling. Stretchy side panels make for a great fit around my thighs. Waistband is both elastic and has a drawstring. Great pattern - super subtle but still interesting.
I am 5'4" and 130 lb, typically a size 28 waist, or a size 6. I wear a medium in most cycling bottoms including Pactimo and Pearl Izumi for reference. I purchased these in a medium and they fit great. These are very well made, I have other Troy Lee shorts, also size medium and love this brand for mountain biking.
I just received these in a size Medium. It says the waist is a 34 but they are way too small to go up over my hips. So. If you have a little junk in the trunk, order up a size or two.
Reviews said they run small, but for me they were really big. The description said "race fit" and reviews said they were small, so I ordered up 1 size. I'm 5'2" 110 lbs. and the medium was huge. The length is way too long for my height. The quality of the short looks good, but they run too big overall for my height.
These look great and fit great. I love the comfy yoga-style waistband with drawstring for exact fit - no cutting into your belly or sides here when you're climbing uphill. The inner thighs and gusset are perforated for great breathability. The fabric is really unique, it is durable but soft and stretchy. I've worn these more than any other MTB shorts I own, they quickly became my favorite and I honestly forget what I'm wearing because they're so comfortable pedaling uphill, sending downhill, or just wearing around town after rides.
