perfect PNW short
Jack pot with these mtb shorts! The stretch is great, the zippers are quality, pockets in right places. These come to my knees, which I love! I won't wear these on a 90 degree day (they are mid weight), but any other day I will! I am a curvy sz 6, big quads, and these are perfect. I'm buying a second pair from the Troy Lee Mischief line because I really don't care about any of my other shorts now. These are the only ones I wan to wear.
High quality, great design!
I had never been a regular baggie shorts wearer for mountain biking before trying the TLD products, and the Mischief short, because nothing ever seemed to fit me properly. I love the animal print and quality design, seems to match every top own. Perfectly placed and thoughtfully designed side zip pockets (sometimes used to stuff my face mask or Garmin in) and a great zip phone pocket, too. I have used this short for many enduro and cross country rides so far with no evident wear and tear. Leg length is perfect for knee pads on downhill days, and the waist is adjustable. At 5’ 7” and 120 pounds, I am usually between sizes, so I bought both small and medium. Small fits me best, and I prefer to pair that with a minimal mesh summer bike liner. Also looks super cute worn around town after the ride! I also have the mediums which fit looser with bigger leg openings, arguably too baggy on me and not as flattering off the bike but I wear them riding in the cooler weather with a heavier Lycra bike short underneath.
Simple mountain bike shorts with good pockets
While these are not the most thoughtful mtb shorts in neither fit nor style, they are functional, and at the end of the day, I choose function over form. The pockets are well-designed. The button snap is durable. The velcro allows for some waist adjustments. The material is not overly heavy or too thin, so they are a good all-arounder for most summer days. They're a longer cut. I ride a lot, and these shorts are great. I don't feel particularly cute in them (they're baggy in kind of weird places), but I also don't even think about them while I am riding, so they are doing their job!
Hideous!
These are REALLY unattractive bikes shorts. The photo does not show how awful and gaudy the pattern is. I didn't even both trying these on as they are so ugly I wouldn't be caught riding anywhere in these.
Durable material and comfortable
I got these today and like the way they feel and fit great except that they are super long on me. They go past my knees. I’m 5’5”. I’ll probably keep them anyway because I like the pockets and material.
