Very light, very confortable. At some point when I first used it, I thought the belay loop and the waist and leg loops were too thin, (compare to an BD harness) I was wondering if they were going to withstand falls and stuff but C.A.M.P knows what they're doing. It's all good.
I wrote a review saying how comfortable this harness was, this and that, I forgot to mention that at the back, there is this small piece of plastic that holds the legloop straps, well, yesterday I slid as I was walking by the trail, landed on my back and that was it for the plastic piece, I don't get it way the buckles or whatever they are called, are made out of metal and that part is made out of small and fragile plastic. Why not putting a better material or sew them into the waist loop like any other harness manufacturer. I had to tied them to the hauling loop just to keep them in place for a while.
Good harness, I have been using it for 6 months now, in the gym and outdoors. It was fabulous for the sport climbs I have done. My one qualm with it is when belaying, especially belaying for top rope, the harness digs uncomfortably on the hips. Definitely a good harness for the price, I will continue to use till it needs to be retired.
My kids grew out of their full-body harness and I graduated them into this model in size XS - it’s perfect for big kids and small youth. At the price point, this harness isn’t as durable as the more expensive harnesses out there. But if you’re only going out a few times a year, and not spending on the rock each time, this is all the harness you need. Not to mention kids grow out of things so fast. The foam padding is sufficient (it’ll pack out/wear out with extended use over time though). And the gear loops are well placed. And the price is sweet. All said, this is an excellent beginner harness or if it only gets occasional wear each year - no need to spend any more than this.
If you are having doubts go for it, you won’t regret it
Fantastic all around harness. Easy to get used to, comfortable and good value. I was recommended this harness by a member at my local gym and I am very pleased with it.
Very happy with it, great price and super comfortable. I absolutely recommend this harness.
Purchased for youth - been climbing on it for 3 years - great for beginner to intermediate climbing. Rack seems to be smallish for situations requiring lot’s of gear.. The XS size is perfect for age 6 to 10, though this harness is not marketed for youth.
