Great upgrade for my bike.

I usually take my bike to a local bike shop but I gave REI bike shop Chandler, AZ a try. I will only go to REI for my repairs now. My hydro brakes were in need of replacing and I wanted to switch to mechanical brakes for bikepacking. They educated me on the pros and cons and I went with these calipers. Amazing product I am able to tune them to the riding style I like single track or bikepacking. The tech was patient as I asked my questions and they had my bike back together in 1 day, Yes 1 day. Amazing work. Thank Bike Shop Chandler, AZ I appreciate your work and customer service.

Reliable

For me these replaced a set of expensive and always-failing SRAM hydraulics that came with my bike. I'm well into my second season on these BB7s and they are great. Plenty of stopping power, good modulation, zero adjustments needed so far, light-weight, and I like that they're cable-driven. They feel durable and reliable, which is exactly what I was after.

Avid BB7 brakes.

The brakes are easy to install. You do need patience when fine tuning them so that they do not rub against the disc. Once installed properly, they work great.
