Works for adults too!
I wanted a pair of pants I could wear while taking my kids for walks during the rainy October through March we have here in the PNW. The petite women’s rain pants were too boxy and long for me. I’m 5’2” and 140 lbs and the girls size 18 fit surprisingly well. The pants pull on like yoga pants and I can wear them all day. Be aware that the pants are made of two different materials, the the more water resistant/swishy material on top. The bottom part of the pants are more like yoga pants: moisture wicking but not water resistant. If you flick water on it, it soaks in. That’s a bummer but if I wear rain boots then my calves don’t get wet. I’ve worn them while it’s sprinkling and I stay dry. I wouldn’t trust these for rain showers or snow though. Overall I’d recommend this to other short women who want some shape in their water resistant pants and want to save some money (these are half the price of similar adult pants).

Great... except for the waist
These leggings seem to be well made, durable and my daughter says they're very comfortable. Unfortunately, they have 1 major flaw- there is no way to adjust the waist!?! The wide waistband is very soft and stretchy, which is great for active kids, but it's so loose that the pants won't stay up! We were surprised and disappointed to find that these don't have a drawstring or cinch of any kind. Such a bummer because these would be perfect pants if the waist was adjustable. My daughter is 7, weighs 47lbs and is 46 inches tall. She wears a 6-7 in most brands (Cat & Jack, Gap, Champion, Primary, Carters, etc) She tried these on in 2 sizes- the xs 4-5 fit her waist better, but was too short. The small 6-7 fit length wise but was huge in the waist.

Good all-weather pants for younger hikers

My kiddo needed some comfy hiking pants that would withstand a little wind in cooler temps but not be too hot in the afternoon desert sun. These fit the bill to a T, way tougher fabric than leggings but better for hiking and romping around than baggy fleece pants or sweats.

Great for those skinny boys too

I got these for my super skinny 11 year old as most of the boys clothing are really baggy. But in fact there is NOTHING like this for boys at my local store. These were spectacular for backpacking, lightweight, cool for walking but also kept him warm in the evenings with long underwear underneath. It would be nice if they had belt loops or were somehow adjustable at the waist as they were still too big for him there but we made it work.

Great hiking pants for girls

Received free product

From my 8-year-old: Super comfortable, cozy, and stylish. I can also wear them to school, unlike most of my leggings. They are a little baggy. The pockets can hold small books. They keep you dry. From mom: They seem to run a little large. She's recently started wearing a size 10, but we had to pin these at the waist to keep them up. The elastic waist is nice, but could use a drawstring, too.

Awesome pants but waist is disproportionate

I LOVE these pants with a huge BUT... the waist! Why oh why does the waist size jump so much size to size. It makes no sense. I have purchased 3 pairs of these pants. My 13yo daughter got the Medium. She is 5'2" 85#. She has always struggled to find clothes that are long enough (even though she has always been very short for her age) that fit in the waist. For myself, 5'5", 125# I have both a Large & X-Large. The Large is slightly tight in the thighs & butt but the waist is perfect. In the XL I have the room needed in the thighs, but the waist is like 3" too big. Otherwise, the pants are great. Fitted but not overly tight. Great material that is super stretchy and durable.

Please never stop making these!

Got these for our very active 4, now 5yo, kiddo who was continually busting holes/seams in leggings. They were frustrated there's very little active outdoor clothes for kiddos their size. These can withstand full days at forest preschool climbing trees and have endured some MTB crashes. Cannot overstate our love for them. We see a little butt-crack at times due to kiddo being slender, but they don't mind, and it's far superior to mending clothes and scraped knees. Would love to see a few more colors as time goes on, maybe a deep navy, green or teal!

Fantastic for adults, too!

I’m an active, smaller adult, and find that kids pants often fit me better than adults. I’m 5’4” but with short legs, and the L (14-16) fits perfectly. They’re very flattering and look nice. I can’t wait to wear them on a hike, or even just around town!

My daughter loves these pants. Bought them for cross country skiing, but they are so stylish and comfortable she just wants to wear them all the time!

No way to adjust fit

I bought these for my six year old daughter who has been hiking with me for the last several months. I am upgrading her gear since she has the hiking bug now and high hopes for these. Unfortunately, they are really loose around the waist but fit pretty well everywhere else. Tights = no drawstrings or belt loops. Looks like we’ll try the similar product for boys so she’s not constantly tugging at her pants.
