Great for sport climbing
Great rope so far I’ve used it on several trips for lead/top rope. The only issue I’ve had is it does seem to tangle relatively easy. Overall happy would recommend
Great Rope
It is what it is. A great rope for the price point. It can be a bit stiff, but the 9.8 works well with all of my belay devices (standard Black Diamond ATC, Mammut Smart Alpine, Black Diamond Pilot, GriGri+) and rope solo gear (GriGri+, Petzle Micro Traxion, Petzle Ascension Ascender). The only thing is single rope rappel doesnt work very well with the Smart, but thats not the ropes fault. My first Crag Classic was retired after a year of moderate use (every weekend) but still hasnt shown much wear and no weak points. Just retired it based on usage. I also climb really dirty, really sharp crags. This rope is tough.
Great handling rope
I’ve been using this rope for 10 months (about once a week) mainly for top roping outside and some sport climbing. It handles great and has been pretty durable so far. The ends are getting a little fuzzy but the middle is still in great shape. I’ve washed it twice just in water and it hasn’t stiffened up like my friend’s BD rope did. When the rope’s fairly clean I can still see the middle marker. The rope stretches a good amount and makes pretty soft catches and goes through a grigri well. A solid choice for a work horse rope.
Sturdy yet supple
I got this 70m rope for outdoor climbing and I use it in my gym as well. The rope itself looks great with the black/white/orange color scheme. The midpoint marking is black so it disappears after a normal amount of use. Although 9.8 can be a little off-putting for how thick it is, this rope is surprisingly fluid, relatively light, and runs through draws and biners with minimal friction. This was my first 70m rope and I am impressed with how well it performs. Feel free to take some whippers on this guy because it will effortlessly catch a fall.
Love it
This rope is great, it's nice and durable (I've taken a few falls on it, and run it through a bunch of different anchors, indoor and out and no damage whatsoever) and does everything a rope needs to do at a pretty great price. My favorite thing about it is how "soft" it is, it's the softest most pliable rope I've ever used, I didn't know that was something I really liked until I got this one. The only reason I did not give it a 10/10 is because it is a dust magnet. I leave it on a tarp when I climb outside and it still somehow collects a ton of dust. I know, no biggie, just clean it more often. Incredible rope, just not perfect.

I love Mammut ropes
I love Mammut ropes. I currently own 4 that are in active rotation. So far I have had no durability issues, however on my previous non duotec ropes the middle marks have been prone to washing away extremely quickly and Mammut does not approve any product for remarking, I would like them to do some testing and figure out a product to approve or release their own product as a functional middle mark is key! I am very excited to use this duotec rope as it will solve my only complaint with Mammut ropes. This rope is smooth handling and supple, knots are easily tied and come undone when you want them to. Catches are smooth and they feed superbly in all of my devices.

Absolute Workhorse Rope!
The 9.8 is a perfect balance for all of my outdoor climbing, the 60m version is my personal favorite when not doing a multi pitch and in need of some sick single pitch crag climbing. Whether you're running up a thought provoking lead or just setting up a top rope for some outdoor gym vibes, this will do it all. The rope runs perfectly through any belay device I've used with it (ATC, Grigri, Alpine guide, etc.) The rope is very durable and is super safe/capable of taking some massive whips, but of course the goal is not to fall! But haven't doubted my safety at all when falling on the rope. Love the bright color of that really stands out from the rock during any climb.

Outdoor Workhorse
I really like this rope, I am already a big fan of thicker ropes since I don't often multipitch so having a big durable rope was on my list from the get go. having used it a fair amount this summer I think I am comfortable in saying its durable, I have yet to see any significant damage to it, it fed nicely through all different sorts of belay devices (provided it was within the recommended range for the device), and its got a nice middle marker. If I had to think of a complaint its that its heavy, but that is to be expected, its a 9.8 rope after all. If I were to get another Mammut rope it would be something thinner, but if you want something to beat on where weight is not a factor then I would happily recommend this.

Super strong shell and lots of good dynamic energy. Classic Mammut
I’ve climbed with multiple other rope brands and this feels the nicest and has been the smoothest.

Must have rope- versatility, versatility
This rope is killer. I really like how versatile it is and how often I use it. Can us for single or multi-pitches and I especially if you are top roping. Seems really durable and a rope that I can have for a long time. Definitely worth the price on this rope!
