- Dry treatment meets the UIAA standard for water repellency, absorbing just 1.5% of its weight in water even after surface abrasion, making the rope more durable
- Special heat treatments incorporated into the dry process increase the tenacity of the nylon fibers, making the rope much more abrasion resistant than a non-treated rope
- 70 m length allows extended leads and rappels on modern routes
- 9.5 mm diameter is ideal for both trad and sport climbing when you want to move light and fast on the approach and the climb
- bluesign® approved product means the company took deliberate steps to reduce negative impacts on the health of the environment, workers and users

My Go-To Rope
I’ve used this rope for two years now for both sport and trad climbing, as well as top roping. Not only do I appreciate the dry-treatment and its ability to keep the rope dry if a surprise shower comes, but it also increases the durability of the rope which I can definitely tell the difference in. Though the dry treatment has faded with various washings, I was able to use the rope for ice climbing before that and it worked very well in those conditions. Overall, I would highly recommend this rope to other climbers. I have a 70m version of it, and it’s been great across the country to access different climbs.

Best overall single pitch rope
Mammut ropes are always fantastic out of the package for handling, and this has hit a great spot for durability, weight, and overall great use in a number of different devices in a few different states including a recent few weeks of hard onsights in the Red after a few weeks of constant projecting in Washington. Already has caught a number of big falls and seen plenty of shelves and roofs to grate over, but neither end is showing much wear. Chose the 9.5 after repeatedly chopping smaller diameter (lighter) ropes and wasting the middle 50m, plus with 80m have plenty of staying power. Anticipate this to get every meter heavily used before retiring.

Fantastic quality from Mammut as usual..
I bought a 70m and a gym rope as well. All have the shared quality and ttreliability The rope acts as described and is great to use. I am trusting it with my life and therefore have an extremely high degree of scrutiny in the quality of gear that I use. This rope meets all of the criteria I’m looking for. It’s slick but catches in devices well. It feeds well and doesn’t get twisted on belays even as a new rope. Even the little things like the look of the rope is helpful. High contrast is nice

10 out of 10
Mammut makes the best ropes. Full stop. I just added the 80m version of this rope to my collection (I believe this is rope #10). It's supple, a freakin pleasure to tie into, and it gives the softest catches. And did you notice the biweave pattern? The two designs are so distinct that it's easy to tell when you get to the middle, even after your rope is reasonably dirty! And-this is a silly thing to care about, but-I just love how Mammut doesn't put those dumb plastic caps on the ends of their ropes that you just know are destined to end up in the digestive system of some local squirrel colony! Well done, Mammut.

Great rope
This is a nice supple rope that resists hanging up. Knots are easy to tie, and the dual color pattern makes it a cinch to find the midpoint for a quick rappel setup. I have the 60m length which is perfect for the pitches I climb in the Cascades. As for durability, I only have one climbing season on the rope, but it still looks like new. Not too heavy and it has a dry finish! I definitely recommend.

It's beautiful
I was really impressed with my rope fresh out of the box! It was not at all stiff from the dry coating. However, after flaking it a few times and belaying for awhile my hands did feel a tad bit sticky. Not super noticeable or bad enough where it's grabbing at debris. I anticipate that will go away with time. I usually use a thicker rope, so I was a little nervous about getting a 9.5 - but I still felt confident catching with my grigri and ATC! Felt smooth to belay, no piggie tails or short-roping. It's a comfy catch. The color pops and looks good on rock! (IT'S PINK!) All good things :)

Pink is Hot... Rope is stellar too
I have used the predecessors (Infinity 9.5 protect and dry) ropes before and this is just as good if not better because of the high visibility pink (helps see mid points). So far anything from sport to alpine with this to full 60m run out pitches with loads of drag. It has not picked up dirt or frayed. Very light for the size. One issue that all ropes with a coloured mid marker is it starts to fade after awhile. Primarily climb limestone in the rockies and the abrasive rock and sharp edges have not phased this rope yet. Highly recommend if looking for an all around solid workhorse rope.

As good as her predecessor!
While buying this gem, I was honestly hoping to get something close to my beloved infinity dry rope. I'm not disappointed and the quality is the same Thx Mammut for another great product!

I was disappointed with the Mammut 9.5 gym classic rope which only lasted about 6 months for climbing indoors, so I gave the 9.5 Crag Dry rope a try. I'm glad I did because the extra cost is worthit to me. The dry rope coating keeps it from getting as dirty, and the sheath shows less wear. For some reason, it doesn't retain kinks/twist as much as the Gym Classic, so that's a good thing. My favourite gym rope so far. Also better (so far) than the uncoated Crag Classic which we had tried a couple of years ago. I don't think I'm ever going to buy a non-dry rope again.

Awesome rope
Love this rope, awesome color (others at the crag are envious). It does its job well, no complaints. Climbing rope.
