Best twin ropes I've had
I bought two 70m 8.0 ropes for a trip into the Alaska Range. These new ropes deserved to be beat up. Aside from using them for basic crevasse travel, my brother and I put them an 18 pitch classic on the Moose's Tooth. Through rock and ice, I never had a problem with them. No 'new rope toughness', no problems feeding, and any ice built up would come off easy as ever. In addition to being lightweight, having two contrasting colors; pink and green, made it very easy to remember which rope to pull on the rappel. I've got four small diameter Mammut Dry ropes now, I don't think I'll ever need for another.

Mammut = Quality
Purchased a pair of Mammut 8.0 Alpine Dry Ropes for a recent trip to the Alps. They were used for glacier travel, alpine and rock climbing. As with all Mammut products they performed exactly as needed and encountered no issues with either rope for the duration of our trip. Mammut is steadily becoming my "go to" gear and apparel when heading into the mountains.

Great rope for cold and wet conditions
Have taken this rope on several alpine climbs, the most significant being a mid-season ascent of Mt Rainier. This rope performed phenomenally for glacier travel with mixed terrain. While it's not the thinnest rope I have used, it remains quite flexible and manageable even in cold weather at elevation. We also encountered an unusually warm decent with snow melting to slush, in which the dry protection on the rope prevented it from becoming heavy and water logged. I will continue to use this rope as my primary glacier rope as well as matched with it's twin for ice climbing.

Fantastic Alpine Ropes
I have had these ropes for a while now and love everything about them. Mammut ropes are just top of the line really. The ropes have great handling, abrasion resistance, water resistance, and strength. While mixed climbing, I had a refrigerator sized block break up and fall down on my ropes. One rope sustained a severe core shot, but upon inspection only the sheath was damaged primarily. One alpine butterfly, a whole lot of rappels, and we were out of there. These ropes did everything I needed them too and then some. Highly recommend for alpine rock, ice, and mixed!

Great rope for ski touring adventures. Easy to carry around pretty light and perfect for rappels

Big Love for a Little Rope
I've used this rope in a variety of ways now, and I freaking love it. Super lightweight to take out into the alpine when I mostly just need a 60m rope for the rap down. Very nice to use as twins for those full length raps you come across from time to time. Super supple, as with all Mammut ropes. It knots insanely well. I have taken it out a handfull of times now and can't speak to the long term durability, but it still looks brand new after a few treks into the alpine, which I'm not used to. Take the leap and get these ropes!

Love the color
Great climbing rope! I don't have extensive climbing experience but as far as my dozen or so top-roping climbs this rope has been a champ. I ski a lot as well but I haven't needed to use it in the winter yet so I cannot attest to its dry capabilities. I scuffed the outside sheath rope layer whatever its called on some rock that I did't think was going to be an issue but apparently was. So not the toughest rope out there but its amazing for what its made for.

These are great ropes ! I use mine for ice climbing, it is my second season climbing with them and they are still in great shape and still dry. I love that they are balanced in sturdiness and being not too heavy. I really enjoy using double ropes since it splits the weight to carry between the climbing party. I have found that if you are not cautious they can wrap into knots quite quickly but this is something that has happened to me with most ropes!

Light weight and durable rope
I've used this rope a few times for glacier traversing and climbing this year. It's light weight and the dry treatment works well. It's been over 100F the last couple days in the PNW and the snow was slushy and wet at Glacier Peak but the rope stayed relatively dry. Regarding durability, the rope has been stepped on a few times with crampons by accident in the last couple outings and after inspection is totally fine.

Great twin ropes
I used this rope as a twin rope out in the Tetons and it remained dry and usable no matter the weather! While it is slightly annoying to carry two ropes, they were amazingly light weight and pack well. 10/10 for experts and intermediate climbers. I could easily see how it would be an amazing alpine rope. If you buy this rope, I advise buying a rope bag as well as you can likely fit two ropes into one.
