All you need.
I have rock prodigy board but wanted a simple wooden edge board. This works great and is easier on the skin while making you actually use finger strength because the reduced friction. I will most likely use this over my more expensive and featured board. The edges are prefect sizes for what one would need in a board.

Large Crack, Bad Quality Control
There is a large crack all the way through the board just below the middle ledge, spanning a third of its length. I was just looking for a solid hangboard with a 20m edge, but it seems Metolius can't even get that right.

Very well-designed in spite of its simple looks

This is the best available version of Dave MacLeod's edge board. These three edges truly are everything you need. The value is unbeatable. I had to sand this down with 320 grit sandpaper but that's probably normal for any wood board. The wood texture and radius of each edge feels great. If I had to nitpick, I would like for each edge to stick out past the one below it so my palms don't lean into the bottom edge when I'm on the top one. I'd also like an extra inch or two of length.

Great value

Very sturdy and easy to mount, the variety of edge sizes are all you need to train.

Impulse buy, keeper product

I've been missing the climbing gym during the pandemic and saw grips as I was leaving the REI and had to pick one up. Going with the Prime Rib as the budget choice, it's already proven itself as way more than budget. I love the challenge of the three grips and it looks handsome to boot. I went to my local second use building materials store and picked up a sweet school bleacher seat to mount it on and it looks great above the door frame.

Simple and effective

Really enjoy this board. Use it as a supplement when hands are raw for my rock prodigy advanced board. The majority of the holds Outside are edges, this board will train them well. I did sand down the top rung to make a sloping edge which works well. Only other thing it doesn’t have is a pinch. Very few boards besides the prodigy have a pinch that doesn’t allow for opposition force to hang. So not a big deal given the $100 price difference.

Good Idea, Poor execution

rungs are not tapered, so lower rungs get in the way of hanging from upper ones. The top one is essentially impossible to crimp on.

Hang board

It’s a nice hang board, the wood is smooth so it doesn’t rip my hands!
