stunning jacket

Fjallraven quality is high! Got this as a shell for extreme winter Nordic skiing in BWCA, MN and daily casual use. With high breathability this will serve well with a fleece mid layer or baselayer during high output then a large puffy deployed over during stop. Being a full zip it is more useful and “casual” for everyday use instead of typical canvas anorak. This is cut very tastefully and fits very true to size as “regular”. The Keb original, for contrast, is much more technical and “athletic” (all the stretch panels make up for trim fit on keb). I highly recommend this as a stunning casual jacket. I got the blue one and really like color. I’m 6’3 240# (muscular) and an XL is perfect as shell alone or fit over puffy/fleece/synthetic midlayer perfectly. I trust that this jacket in G1000 will be difficult to wear out and last a very long time. This fabric is “customizable” via the waxing that can be done to increase water resistance, to me the breathability is what it’s about..it’s not a rain jacket (and for me) will not take backpacking in warm months.

High quality garment, sizing issues

This is a fantastic item of clothing, like the other reviews have mentioned the sizing is a bit hit & miss, although that's how I find most Fjällräven items. I am 5ft 11" and weigh 85KG, I originally ordered a size medium, it was very big to the point were I returned the item and re-ordered a size small. The small fits me perfectly and isn't tight in the slightest, it doesn't reflect the sizing guide. Overall I am very happy with the item as it is extremely well made and has the quality you would expect from the brand. This would have been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the sizing issues.

Great jacket. Disappointing sizing.!

Have repeatedly tried this jacket on (but returned it) as it keeps drawing me back due to its style and function. Sadly, as other reviewers have highlighted, the sizing is not right. Correct in shoulders (I’m a medium) but too wide in the torso. The sleeves are longer than necessary, though I’m finding that with an increasing number of outdoor jackets. Appreciate the idea being that it reduces torso lift when reaching or climbing/scrambling but in all honestly, most will wear this for the style and protection. With narrower/more fitted torso and slightly shorter sleeves this would be a perfect everyday/hiking jacket for many and would sell like hot cakes I’m sure. Please take on board the feedback, Fjallraven!

Long sleeves, protective hood.

Got a few fjallraven jackets and this is the one I wear the least. It’s a quality jacket but the sizing is slightly large so I tend to layer underneath more than the sten, skogsko or Greenland. Not a complaint… I use it for different activities. Get lots of positive comments; I have the brown colour. It’s got long sleeves, I like the fabric underarm patches and the large hood offers great protection in the wind. Recommend the jacket for almost all activities.

A solid garment

This is my first Fjällräven jacket and I do not regret. Very solid fabric, very light at the same time, great details and perfect seams show how professionally built it is. The 6 pockets (4 are zipped) are comfortable and easy to access, open and close. I was initially hold aback by the waxing but although I did a little mess with my first application, it is very practical and I'm sure my second time will be perfect already. The neck stays quite large but that is a plus for urban setting in case you wan to wear a scarf without being strangled, and when walking outside without a scarf it still covers up the neck well. The negative points (being very picky here), are the front flap, covering the zipper, which may have a velcro or two in the middle to keep it close with strong winds. The second one is the size. I took an M based on my chest and waist measurements, and it is fine but the sleeves are longish. In any case, I definitely recommend this product, took the nly few days anda coule of tests to fall in love with it.

Good jacket

Good jacket with a lot of pockets. Minus: a scracht would be wellcome to maintain the collar jacket.

Great ideas, awkward size

I was really hoping to love this jacket, but instead I'm merely accepting it. The number of pockets are great, the design ideas are smart and detail-oriented. The overall quality is excellent. I also quite like the principles of durability and renewability that the brand stands for. Unfortunately, the fit is just a bit too big. I'm 6 feet/1,8m tall, 165lbs/75kg, with fairly normal proportions. I bought size Medium, which should be correct both according to the size chart and to my fit with almost all other brands. And while the shoulders of this jacket fit properly, there's far too much room around the torso, and the sleeves are too long (as another reviewer noted). If I didn't know better I would guess the Medium size was a Large. I also tried on a size Small, and while the sleeves and torso felt like a proper fit, the shoulders were too small. The extra room around the torso might leave space for several layers beneath; but if conditions dictated wearing several layers, I would wear a different type of jacket. Overall the jacket just looks and feels bulky and oversized. I'll keep it since I like it more than I dislike it- but if I could have this jacket with the shoulder fit of the medium and the rest cut more like a small, it'd be a 5-star rating without question.
