Terrible Quality
Waste of money! Worn maybe 10 times. The stitching and glue on the soles are failing!
Its too bad
I had a pair of waterproof leather Nweports that lasted me for like 20 years and fit like a dream! These new ones are a little more narrow and that heel strap is terrible! It hurts and its is impossible to get them on over your heel without it feeling like its going to break! The front part of the sandal is actually pretty comfortable considering its narrower last and very low volume fore foot, but THAT HEEL STRAP is disappointing. Walking in these, I can really feel how tight and uncomfortable its it on heel. Unfortunately these might have to go back. I will try to make them work but we shall see. I have noticed that a lot of shoe companies are making shoes for women so dainty and narrow, more so than past makes of same models. Very disappointing.
Not The Same Newport H2
I've worn the Keen Newport H2 the past 15 years or so. Always the same size, always the same great fit, high quality, and durable. I've gone through 3 pairs over the years. This year it was time to replace them again. The first pair ran too short -- though same size as always. The second pair, different color same size, fit great -- just like they always did -- but after 2 months of wear, the foot bed started separating from the sole. Today I got the replacements in the mail, and this pair is back to the too-short fit. Seems to be inconsistent sizing, and lower quality these days. I'll have to return them, but I'll try again next summer. Hopefully Keen will have worked out the issues with this once great shoe by next season.
Too small
Had to return these. These are a full size off. Been wearing Keen H2 forever and never a problem from the ones made in Vietnam...the ones made in Mexico have always been a full size too small. Wish Keen could get their sizing right! REI customer service was fantastic and gave full refund.
Too small
Loved the color, but my normal size was WAY too tight, tried next size up, still too tight, had to exchange for a different type of keen in grey (no cool colors :-(
Too small
I have been wearing Newport H2 Sandals for the past dozen years. I read when initially purchasing they ran a half size too small, so I ordered a size 7.5. They fit great. Now a 7.5 is too small. These will be going back.
Incredibly comfortable, great for casual walking
I purchased these a year ago and Keen, as a brand, has always fit my feet well. However, they are definitely running small. I typically wear an 8 and needed an 8.5. So, if you get these, be prepared to size up.
Hard to get foot into, squished my foot.
I have had keens in the past, but they were the kids shoe so a Velcro strap and wider foot opening. The women’s squished my foot down, have a high arch I guess, also in general it was just hard to get my foot into. Need some easier options to get on, with the sporty feel. Wish the kids had the open heel.
Superb shoe :+1::skin-tone-2::+1::skin-tone-2:
I’ve had my keen shoes two pairs for a decade and a decade + I LOVE the wearability and durability of the shoe. I did have a size discrepancy in ordering my second pair same size as first but I found to be running a bit larger. I hate returns n exchange as it’s such a hassle but regardless I’m buying a third pair this year; I can’t wait to get them! As you may notice in photo I have to add a shoe lift and they are the shoes I live in all year since they are comfortable.
Not my Keens
Like other review-ers, I’ve worn Keen for many years. This pair did not meet expectations. Smaller then sized in the past. At least 1/2” shorter in footbed length than same shoe previously purchased and rock hard sole. No bend. Like walking on a Lego. This was a disappointment but as promised, REI stands behind your satisfaction and a return was promptly processed.
