Great accessory to keep your little one dry

I recently purchased this rain cover to keep hiking through the Seattle winter. I have a 2019 Poco AG Plus (model before the recent release). While the sun shade works as decent protection for a short and light drizzle, it's not suitable for the heavy and consistent rain we have here in the winter. The cover works exactly as it should, and will keep your passenger dry. My daughter hates being in a stroller with a rain cover, as such I was worried she would dislike this as well. However, the front is open to keep the window from fogging up and giving them fresh air. The cover is nice and long, attaching to the hip belts keeping their legs dry, and feet mostly dry. The toes can poke out a bit, if it's especially rainy they'll be damp after a long hike. I imagine this cover will be nice to use on colder days to help keep some heat in, or on windy days to keep the wind out. The display picture shows this rain cover on a regular Poco, which made me nervous it wouldn't fit on my Poco Plus. Upon trying it on at home everything fit fine. There is plenty of slack in the cover allowing the Velcro to attach to the kick bar below the zippered pocket of the Poco Plus. I've only used this for one hike, so I cannot speak to it's durability. Being an Osprey product I wouldn't expect anything less than a quality piece of gear that will last for more years than my child will fit in this carrier. All in all this is a great rain cover, and my daughter loved it too choosing to comfortably nap for half of our 3 hour hike. My only suggestion is don't be like me and use it inside out the first time, but even if you do it will still keep your child dry!

Keeps our daughter dry but not all her gear

This cover basically works well since it does the most important job of keeping our daughter dry. It's a bit heavy due somewhat to the clear "window" but that's a nice feature for us and her. The only downside is evident when using it on multi-day backpacking trips where you're filling the main storage area with gear. As shown in the picture, the main storage pocket is not covered and will get wet if it's raining hard. I'm assuming it's a design trade-off for easier access, but hopefully Osprey will figure out some type of cover extension for the next generation. I'd still recommend this but will be making my own shower curtain-like extension with polycro and velco.

Helpful accessory - should come standard

Really useful accessory to have on the trail - not only does it protect against rain, but also helps to act as a windbreaker on cooler days. Only wish that it didn't require an additional purchase!

Attachment points tear, but good overall

Works well enough for keeping the kid dry, but if you secure it so the gear compartment stays dry, the velcro tabs eventually blow out. If they had added a few more inches of material, and used webbing instead of very thin velcro, this would be a 5 star product. We’ve taken it up 14ers, out around town, and backcountry skiing, and the main cover is durable and functional, but the attachment points are too light, and the back of the cover too short to be ideal.

keep toddler dry but not his luggage

This rain cover is great, but! It doesn’t cover the main storage in backpack, so everything is get wet in heavy rain. we came up with solutions to put everything in dry bag also from Osprey.

Works ok, but not grea

Keeps the kiddo dry, but if secured as shown on current Osprey instructions, it drains rain into the gear compartment. If you secure the velcro tabs all the way down the frame, the very light velcro tears out eventually. The front lower hardpoints also tear when our kid gets his snowboots under them. We've run up mountains, backcountry skied, and walked around town with this, and it does keep the kid warm, dry, and out of the wind, but be ready to either pack gear in trashbags, or have to reinforce the lower corners and replace the velcro with webbing.

We hiked up Mist trail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We hiked up Mist trail in Yosemite using this Poco rain cover. We got soaked! Baby girl stayed dry and comfortable the whole way up!
