Salomon  Vaya Low Hiking Shoes - Women's

I ordered these to bolster my hope that the Utah parks will be open for some hiking this summer. I just got them today and walked a couple of miles with no issues. I stomped on a few rocks and roots and found the soles offered very good protection. One piece of advice: Use the chart on the Salomon website to choose the correct size based on measuring your foot. I used it and ended up ordering a size 9 when all my other boots and running shoes are 9.5. The toe box is almost too wide but the length is perfect. I suspect these will become my new favorites.

Very comfy. Didn't read reviews ahead of buying, but I agree that they seem to run a little larger and wider than expected. They also get dirty extremely easily. Check out my video review as well.

I have been wearing Salomon trail runners for many years. I have loved them all--even though the soles wear out super fast. But this Vaya low hiking shoe looks like it will be my all-time favorite. Somehow Salomon managed to make a shoe extremely light, flexible, comfortable, and sturdy all at once. It has a very knobby and grippy sole for the trail (let's hope it doesn't wear out quickly), but it's not at all stiff. But the best part for me is that it has a wide toebox. If you have narrow feet you might not be happy with this shoe, but my wide feet are so happy. My only criticism of this shoe is that it has a traditional lace that requires tying instead of the system they use on their trail runners which has a pull cord to tighten the laces.

This shoe is so lightweight, I am amazed! I love the unique ombre look and that I can wear these casually out on the town or to the park or on the trails. The fit is fairly roomy and the traction is solid! They fit great. So excited to wear these all Summer for all kinds of activities!

These shoes are perfect for hiking. Very light and comfortable. Looks great, well made..I bought the green one. Glad I bought 1/2 size down because it runs big. I usually wear 8 running and hiking shoes but with these the 7.5 feels like 8 already.

I really wished these worked for me, but the toe bed is too wide. I haven’t used them for outdoor rec, but I can already tell the toe bed would be a problem. Beautiful color. The rest of the shoe is very comfortable. I have to return them - bummed!

I’ve only had these for a few weeks but love the light, comfy feel. The colors are beautiful too. I bought the same size I have in all my other Salomon shoes, but the sizing of these shoes seems to be large. The right shoe fits almost perfect but the left shoe feels 1-2 size two big. I even checked to see if they sent me the wrong size. I’ve never had this issue with any other Salomon shoes. Unfortunately I’ve worn them hiking so can’t return them. Other than sizing issue, very comfy and versatile shoe.

These shoes appeared to be a great deal but the size is WAY off. Very wide! Bulky at toe box. Long…… very disappointed.

As a letter carrier, I am always apprehensive about staying from the tried and true shoes that I wear for work. I had a pair of Soloman hiker boots from a couple years ago (which I totally love, rips and all) so I gave the Soloman shoe a try. I was happy with no rubbing or blisters but found there was not enough cushioning in the sole doe my liking so I bought some insoles and am much happier with them!

I'm quite happy with this purchase. The shoes are very light and comfortable, perfect for a long walk with the dog or light hiking on smooth trails. You might want to look for a sturdier model for longer hikes on rough terrain, but for urban and easy terrain, these are fantastic. Love the look as well -- I'd buy all colours if I could!
