I purchased these boots via the web 3 years ago. They've been my go-to hiking boots for day hikes and backpack trips. Soles are starting to wear down...what do you expect after so much use! They are water-proof from my experience, no leakage from snow or water. They took about 5 hiking trips before i had them broken in to fit my foot. Currently considering buying another pair since I'm not having luck finding a boot resoler that has capacity. BTW - they can be sent back to Italy for refurbishment at the factory.
I have about 60 miles or so on these so far this summer. I have previously worn the drifter or other Asolo models. All have been OK other than for the tops wearing through where the fabric meets the leather at the flex point. This pair is defective but I will tolerate them. The right boot leaks dirt and water on its left front although I do not see any hole. Certainly not waterproof. They are lighter and a bit roomier than the drifters I had and need the Sole insole and heavy socks to take up the room for my narrow feet. .Sole is thinner and more flexible than the drifter.
I am a traveling utility inspector and average 155 miles per month in my hiking boots. I wore out my Asolo Drifter's after 1800 miles. In an effort to save $50, I purchased these Asolo Finder's. Unfortunately, they only lasted 1200 miles before they fell apart. Needless to say, I spent the extra $50 on another pair of Asolo Drifters and recommend you do the same.
Wanted to love them. Had a pair that lasted almost 8 years of hikes. Something changed and there is a painful pressure point on one boot. Put 20miles on hoping it would go away. Bringing them back tomorrow.
I own several pairs of Asolo hiking boots. I'm currently wearing on a regular basis this model. They're the best pair I've worn. Not to say others are sub-par, I just really enjoy these. They're my everyday boot. Sturdy. comfortable and exactly what I like.
I've had these boots for about a year and I really like them! I wanted something that was sturdy with a decent amount of ankle support, but still wearable and these definitely fit the bill. I'm a winter hiker and these have great insulation & do a decent job of keeping snow out, without getting too hot in the summer.
While this is my fourth purchase of Asolo, I am disappointed in how fast the soles are wearing out. Keep in mind i use these for work and not worn daily as i have a rotation of 3 other boots. for this much money i expect better equality.
I'm literally a hiking god when I put these boots on.
Based on the name itself, I was expecting a much better quality product than what I received. Part of the boot was pulling away from the rubber sole and the shoestring clasps on upper part of boot appeared to be made of hard plastic, instead of metal as I would have expected from Asolo. I would definitely be hesitant to try these out on the trail.
Lots of boot brands out there. I’ve tried some different ones that couple of purchases. I’ve been wearing mostly Asolo for probably more than 30 years and this pair did not disappoint. Great arch support and isolation from rough trail surfaces. Love ‘em.
