Cute, comfy, casual walking sandals

I’m a big fan of Keen footwear. I have Keen hiking boots and Keen fisherman-style sports sandals. When I was looking for a sporty, open-toed walking sandal, this Keen style caught my eye. The sandals are as comfortable as I expected. On the first day, I wore them around the house to break them in, but they clearly didn’t need to be broken in. The next day, I wore them on two long walks with my dog, and they felt great. There isn’t a lot of room for strap adjustment at the ankle, although that wasn’t a problem for me. The strap across the toe box can be adjusted significantly. There is good arch support and excellent tread. You can walk through puddles without slipping and without damaging the shoes. These sandals are extremely comfortable right out of the box, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re cute. I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of them.

Not Good For Me

These probably don't really deserve a one star. However, I cannot wear them and that is really irritating. I had to order them on line and make judgements by the pictures. It looked like the ankle strap was adjustable. It is not. I have high arches and cannot close the strap. So, in the recent 100 degree weather, I am not wearing sandals, but heavy running/walking shoes. I am waiting for our local REI store to open to return them there. I don't expect any problems with that because they are good about such things. I am so disappointed though, because finding size 12s is so difficult.

Great Looks and Comfortable Fit

I have some open-toe Keen sandals I’ve had for many years. Ever since the footbed tread wore out I’ve been dreaming that Keen would come out with another. This sandal is that sandal. I initially had difficult adjusting to the snap closure (set it too tight and it won’t stay shut when you bend your foot), I finally got it right. The padding for the ankle reverses itself sometimes when you remove the shoes, but that’s a very tiny annoyance. Just check its placement when you put on the sandals next time. The straps stay in place, there are no points of friction, and they’re lightweight, comfortable, and supportive. I’m happy to add them to my collection!

WOMEN'S TERRADORA II OPEN TOE SANDAL

The sandal is comfortable for walking which is why I brought this sandal but the strap around the ankle does not have enough material to adjust the strap to fit comfortably around my ankle. It is tight since there is not enough material to adjust on the super short strap. That is a huge bummer. If the strap were a little longer therefore it would fit much more comfortably and then I would give this sandal 10 stars but the material on the strap is just way too short. I don't understand why this strap was made so short. These sandals are pretty expensive so adding in a little more material should have been easily doable.

Beautiful and comfy

Just arrived. I love these sandals. I researched & looked for a supportive stable footbed. My foot is not narrow so these may not be for a narrow fit. So attractive

Terradora sandal

These sandals overall fit well, but seem more narrow in the toe than my other Keens. The toe strap is adjustable but still seemed tight, and when it was loosened it felt like my foot was going to slide. The ankle strap was quite loose and there was no way to adjust. Maybe if that could be tighter then the toe could be kept loose. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 and I got a 7 in these. My toes were at the very end. I don’t think sizing up would help much as the ankle strap would still be loose. The footbed was very comfortable and I love the grey color. Sadly will be returning.

I wanted so badly to love these...

As soon as I saw these, I was hopeful - they were beautiful and appeared rugged enough for hiking, which is exACTly what I have been searching for! Unfortunately, the ankle strap doesn't stay where you put it, and the material is like a ribbon so would cut into my skin if even a tad too tight. Once I got the straps where they felt good, I noticed they were uncomfortable after a few steps... The ankle strap is 1 piece (took me a sec to figure this out). Once I got it tightened where it didn't cut into the top of my ankle, it would just slip back into its original position once I started walking and naturally putting pressure on the back of the strap with my achilles. There's no way I could walk, let alone hike in these. So sad!

Poor heel strap design

these ssndals are light weight and very cute. Good tread and made extremely comfy as all the keen sandsls I own are but.....the heel desing is very poorly designed. I wanted these for all day hiking in very rocky challenging up and down hill all day terrain. The heel trap can only be adjusted by the front clip and is one strap so when you are hikibg down its fine but as soon as you start to hike uphill your foot slides back snd your heel hangs off the back of the sandal. Very annoying and wanted to send them back but I sowed the straps inplace around my heel where I needed them and they work perfect now. Besides this one HUGE problem they are very comfy and I love these for hikes. They need to make this sandal with a separate adjusting system for the heel.

Nice shoes but awkward strap attachment

I have several pairs of Keen shoes that are waterproof which I wear when I go into the ocean swimming. I absolutely love them so figured these sandals would be great also. I liked the look of them so much that I ordered 2 pair. I like them very much once I get them on. They are very comfortable, but the strap hook is terrible. The hook is a little plastic piece that fits into another little plastic piece and it is very awkward to hook them together. Luckily once you get them together they fall into place fairly easily, but getting the 2 pieces together is extremely awkward. I have arthritis which makes it doubly hard. The strap across the toes is Velcro. If both straps were Velcro you would have a great shoe. It is awkward enough to hook that I wish I had returned the shoes.
