Love these flip flops
These are my favorite flip flops. I have pretty long toes and these for great. The straps were a little tight at first but stretched quickly and are now perfect ♥️
Painful
Extremely uncomfortable! Returning them right now and on top of the bad product, it’s $9 to return by mail.
You have to break them in
Very comfy once you break them in. I agree they were painful at first until the leather softens and molds to your foot. I also wet them and wore them to speed up the break in process. So again, wear them a little while / wet them and wear them and then give your feet a break. My favorite flops now they’re broken in.
Painful
Bought my normal size 6 and like the other review says the leather strap is TIGHT. Because of the weight of the footbed and the tight strap, I wore these for 15 minutes and my skin broke between my toes. Maybe they’ll stretch out more but still the weight is still too heavy to be comfortable. Also bought the men’s version for my boyfriend and he loves them and I tried his on and the strap is much thicker and even has padding on the inside! Returning ASAP.
were these designed for a human foot?
The thong part of the sandal attaches really far down. If you have reeeaaallly long toes, this might work. For everyone else, this is a bad choice. My heel hung off the back of the sandal by about an inch, and I had a ton of extra length in the toe area. They're also really, really narrow. I'll be returning these.
Tight and slippery
I found these sandals to be painfully tight. I only wore them around my house, but I couldn't imagine "breaking them in." I don't think it would have been possible. Also, I felt like they were slippery and was worried about how slippery they would be if they got wet. My feet are very average, not narrow or wide. I ordered my normal size and they seemed a little short.
runs tight
I ordered my regular size (8/39) and the foot bed fits well but the straps are very tight. I don't have thick or wide feet. While the leather straps may stretch out, the toe loop is not quite long enough so they may still be uncomfortable with stretch in the straps. Otherwise they are a nice style and have nice traction for flip flops
Wish I'd read the reviews!
Just got these and as others have said, the straps are painfully tight. These are going back!
Very tight, painful straps
I still got these shoes despite the reviews saying that these sandals are tight, and can be painful to wear. I would agree with the other reviewers, these sandals are definitely tight at the top by the straps. Normally, I wear 6.5 or 7, got these in 7, and the fit is good. The construct is also good, and there is enough thickness for the sole. However, since the straps are stiff and snug, they rub against the skin, and are NOT comfortable to wear. I wore them today for one single errand, with minimal walking at the store, and they were getting painful. I would have easily gotten some blisters if I had to do more walking. I plan to bring some bandages whenever I wear them next time, and strongly hope they will get softer and less tight after few wears. I considered returning them but since I already wore them, I am going to keep them. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will loosen up with time and be less stiff.
Horrible!
I own several pairs of Freewaters and love them, so I was incredibly disappointed when these arrived. They are way smaller than the non-leather ones — the sole is shorter and the straps are too tight. They were also horribly squeaky. Avoid if you are buying these because you like the Freewaters Supreem flip flops.
