Bike tour tested!
But these because I needed lots of toe room for my numb toes and these did not disappoint. I bought half size bigger (10.5) Which seem to be a little bit sloppy at first. I was driving my toes down into the cages on my bike while riding for six days on rough rails to trails bike tour. Supremely comfortable! I had lots of wiggle room and no pressure. No trouble with my bunions either. Light weight and rinsed out well and dried quickly after a muddy ride. The shoelaces NEVER untied or even loosened when tied conventionally with a single knot. The tongue pull makes it easy to straighten. Good shoe to wear for a ride to the gym and for weight training work too. The legacy green color is a neutral shade. I’ll be looking for a warmer shoe for colder rides.

Choose 2 sizes down, pay attention to EU sizing
I bought online last week, because I am always a US size 8. Because of my confidence in sizing, even though they seemed big, I headed out on my bike. It was clear after 20 mins that the shoes were way too big! I then went to the store to assess a smaller size. I fit properly into a 7, which was labeled as EU 38.75 (essentially 39), which is my EU size. I am so surprised about the sizing mismatch. If I had noticed EU sizing, I wouldn’t have gotten the 1st dirty. Lesson learned, I had to buy twice! Otherwise the shoe performs well and is comfortable in the proper size!

Fix the size thing

ORDER ONE SIZE LESS, I ORDERED 7,5 and they were 8,5 in real life, with specific MODEL THIS HAPPENS. They are great shoes but you should be careful with the size UNTIL ORDERED 6,5 US MEN they were my correct size

The good, and not so great.

After exchanging this shoe 3x before finding the correct size (normally size US 8, went down to size 7), finally got to ride with my new kicks. Good: lightweight, comfortable, nice arch and contours to the foot. Bad: the fabric that makes these lightweight is across touch of the shoe. On my second ride my foot brushed up against rock and left an abrasion. Would have thought the material would have been more resilient. Won’t buy again, and guessing these will not last the summer season.

best cycling shoes ive purchased yet

best shoe for flat pedals every! used these on a 400 mi cross state bike packing trip, they were amazing. I put flatpedals on my road bike and these shoes literally stuck to the pedals so you'd never know I wasn't clipped in. also, they were so comfortable- peddling, hike-a-biking... walking through towns.. lounging with beers.. etc..they were great. highly recommend!

comparing the sizing to my last 5Tens was way off!

When 5Ten got bought out by adidas they must have changed the last of their shoes. After a foot injury I needed to go up a 1/2 size to accomadate my orthotics so I thought it would be doable. Well, after returning shoes 2 times, I ended up with a 1/2 size smaller. The toe box is also narrower on this shoe compared to other models. I like the breathability and lightweightness of this shoe but prefered the boxier toe of my older model. I imagine riding in tight rocky terrain, however that the upper of this shoe would not hold up like the durable heavy weight canvas of my previous model.

Fits larrrrge!

These bike/hike shoes are the most attractive biking flat option for the less serious rider. I was so excited about these shoes but the fit is fuuuunky. The heel is a little tight in weird places and oh my gosh they are a whole size too big. I am a 7.5 nearly without exception, but I read these run large so I ordered a 7 as well. Nope. Still too big! I have not used these, and not sure I'll order a 6.5. They could be great if you have just the right measurements, but not sure how to feel about them.

Sizing Issues

I bought this shoe for my daughter after trying one on in store. The store did not have the right size so we found it on line. My daughters measured shoe size is 7.5 and most of her shoes are 7.5. I ordered a 7 after determining the 7.5 was running big. The 7 was also way to big. Her heal was very loose. I would guess that a 6 would have been appropriate. I think the shoe is well made and I ride with the Freerider which is great. I still recommend the brand but the sizing is way off.

trainer with bike sole

Size 8. Fits good. Normally 8.5/8. I have a narrow foot and moderately high arch. The idea of the shoe is great. A light weight "running style" bike shoe. Somewhat stiff sole where I don't feel the pegs on my flats. But not stiff for downhill flow or tech trails. Always like the Stealth rubber compound. Excels as a hiking style "bike" shoe with ventilation and side cutouts under the ball of the foot. Would be amazing if there was actual ankle support. Feels extremely free around the ankle. I like the slightly higher neoprene sleeve, but wish it was actually supportive and had the D30 around the ankle with the same cut. Would like to see a velcro strap over ankle in either this shoe or the Trail Cross Mid Pro.

Great shoes, very comfortable and stable

The Five Ten offered good fit and function, and very good durability. There's enough protection on the front and the back has even more so. Agree on going up half a size.
