Great for a wet hike
I needed a pair of shorts for a backpacking trip where I'd be spending a lot of time walking and lounging in a creek. These were perfect! Very comfy, dried quick, and come in an above-the-knee length. Just what I was looking for. They're great for lounging around the house in, too. They are a touch boxier and roomier than I prefer. If you prefer a slim fit, you may not give them 5 stars. But the extra bit of roominess comes in handy for hiking.
Super comfortable shorts for casual or relaxed wear
These shorts are by far the most comfortable that I have. They have a pretty relaxed fit so they work great for wearing them casually or to relax. The pockets are a little bit deep, which I love because it keeps my phone/wallet/whatever in my pocket and prevents them from falling out as easily. The material is super breathable and comfortable. Both drawstrings are like 12 inches long with no slack pulled out, so I feel like that's a little bit weird. If I tighten them up I just feel like it's a lot of excessive string. Given the relaxed fit and longer drawstring I don't use these for any serious running or anything crossfit-ish, which isn't what they are intended for anyways. Overall, great shorts and worth every dollar.
Perfect
Comfy, lightweight, dries quickly. Much nicer than the REI or Columbia shorts (fabric feels better and it doesn’t make the swooshing sound when you walk). Perfect for a hot weather hike, or swimming, and these can be worn with or without underwear.
Functional & flattering shorts
As a female frustrated with tiny pockets and inseams that are too short, I purchased these shorts because of the three large pockets and modest length. At 5'3" & 120 lbs, the size extra small fits me perfectly. The elastic waistband easily stretches over my hips and the interior drawstring keeps the shorts in place at my 27" natural waist. The lightweight stretchy recycled polyester fabric is a dream come true, especially in the retro teal color. I'm spoiled by the size of the pockets, but the pocket fabric is one thing I would change. It is a slinky, slippery mesh with large holes exposing items in my pockets to my body heat and results in a slippery and sweaty phone or keys, etc.
There are better Prana options than the Slope
I bought a pair of the Altitude Tracker and they were amazing (great fit, supreme comfort). So when I bought a second pair of them I also decided to try out the Slope short. I returned the Slope. The length is an inch shorter, which I knew and which was fine but it made for a tighter and more restricted fit, was not able to move around in them. The material was not as comfortable either, although it did seem cooler and better for moisture (the altitude is more of a lounge or cool weather short). So if you want comfort, go Altitude, if you want workout or warmer weather short go with the Vaha.
Better than I expected
The slight percentage of cotton in these makes a big difference in the comfort. I've used them on the beach, running, hiking. Absolutely great shorts, wish there were more color options. They are a bit short if you have longer legs but then again, 7" inseams are about as short as I'd go.
Perfect gym short
These fit perfect! And feel amazing! The material has a soft feel and great stretch. Also a very modern look and cut.
My favorite short... but
I'm in love with these shorts. I've been wearing them practically everyday. (gross I know) The fabric is unbelievably comfy. I'm also a fan of the draw cord and zippered closure pocket in the rear. I gravitated towards the Dark Walnut color (very nice). The only reason I am not awarding these shorts a 5 star rating in due to pilling which happened after 2-3 washes. This is probably my fault since I should have hang dried instead of putting them on a delicate cycle. If you own these I recommend washing cold water only, hang or line dry them.
Insta-fave
These shorts are perfect for mobility and ridiculously comfortable. I love the shorter length (these shorts are 7", so if you're used to a board short length these may be a bit higher than you're used to) and they are super breathable for long hikes or casual day wear. Pockets are a nice touch, though if you'll be wanting to wear these casually instead of actively; when you fill them with keys, smartphone and wallet they'll be falling out when you sit down. I am definitely going to be buying these again!
Breathable and lightweight
I love these shorts! Light weight and extremely breathable they make the perfect hiking, running, workout, and lounging shorts.
