Great for a wet hike
I needed a pair of shorts for a backpacking trip where I'd be spending a lot of time walking and lounging in a creek. These were perfect! Very comfy, dried quick, and come in an above-the-knee length. Just what I was looking for. They're great for lounging around the house in, too. They are a touch boxier and roomier than I prefer. If you prefer a slim fit, you may not give them 5 stars. But the extra bit of roominess comes in handy for hiking.
Perfect
Comfy, lightweight, dries quickly. Much nicer than the REI or Columbia shorts (fabric feels better and it doesn’t make the swooshing sound when you walk). Perfect for a hot weather hike, or swimming, and these can be worn with or without underwear.
Better than I expected
The slight percentage of cotton in these makes a big difference in the comfort. I've used them on the beach, running, hiking. Absolutely great shorts, wish there were more color options. They are a bit short if you have longer legs but then again, 7" inseams are about as short as I'd go.
Breathable and lightweight
I love these shorts! Light weight and extremely breathable they make the perfect hiking, running, workout, and lounging shorts.
Worth it
These shorts are awesome for just about any adventure.
Very poor!!! REI is going down hill.
Poor quality - Much worse than the old version. Same brand and style. Cheesy looking too. Also image is NOT accurate. This kind of waist band is the old one. New one is very poor.
Fits perfectly
Very comfortable fit overall, can wear anywhere and fits perfectly to my sizing. Love the inseam length
