  • Unlike other pressurized showers, Helio can be refilled anywhere without a hose
  • 7 ft. neoprene hose is long enough to hold overhead for a shower or to reach all angles of dirty gear, muddy paws or salty wetsuits
  • Pair with the NEMO Heliopolis privacy shelter (not included) which has a fitted nozzle holder for a hands-free, home-away-from-home showering experience
  • Safety strap prevents accidental opening and allows easy transport

Camping Shower Must Have!!

Absolute lifesaver!! Water pressure is great. Workgreat with the Nemo Shower Shelter (i.e. hook in the corner that hold up the nozzle, would highly recommend). Only bad thing I could say would be the gasket from the cap falls into the water once in awhile. However, you literally just out it back on and close the cap. I have a family of 4 (i.e. boy and a girl). There is enough water in on tank to take 2 showers with one kid+one parent lol (i.e. parents with toddlers would understand). We used this setup last year with the shower shelter on 10 trips. Super heavy duty on the sidewalls. The handle surprisingly holds up well. High quality. The nozzle is plastic and the hoses are a pretty thick tubing. So def choose to be careful with not abusing. As far as the foot pump it works great. When outdoors use common sense and put a towel or some type of material so rocks or anything else doesn't puncture the pedal pump. Also wouldn't suggest carrying the container filled with water holding the strap. However, for what it can do its great. During a shower you can leave the shower nozzle going (i.e. rubber cover holds the water lever). And you mind and up pumping the pedal 4 or 5 times during a 3-5 minute shower while still retaining 50 of the water in the shower. We personally used our Camp Chef Everest to heat up water (i.e. 65%-70% cold water + 30%-35% hot water), makes absolute warm delight in cold weather. And the Nemo shower shelter retains the heat from the water as well. We had plenty of neighbors laughing at the steam coming from the shower shelter with heated water form our camp stove lol. Some people call that glamping (i.e. i say if your willing to take a shower in a tent with a manual water pump system that's pretty mountainous in my opinion lol). Good luck! Would highly recommend. As for long care when your done just hang it upside down and let it drain before putting away for the season. I'd rather take a shower or have my kids take a shower in the shelter with this pressure system, any day of the week. Rather than use some of the horrific state park bathrooms form PA-NY. FELT THE NEED TO WRITE THIS EMAIL BECAUSE IF MORE PEOPLE KNEW HOW GREAT THIS PRODUCT IS, COUPLED WITH THE SHOWER SHELTER, MORE PEOPLE WOULD CAMP IN STATE PARKS, GUARANTEED! Not to mention the shower shelter doubles as a bathroom with a flip lid renault porter potty (i.e. baggie refills). Any happy camping : )!. P.S. Last thing when filling make sure you keep on hand on the top handle and one hand holding the hose. Once it fills up its solid.

I purchased this as a way to wash dishes and shower off at primitive campgrounds. For that purpose, it works "well enough", but it's honestly not much better than an $7 water container. It doesn't pressurize high enough to have much force -- it's comparable to a gravity shower. The build quality isn't great either, as the handles are not confidence inspiring to use if the bag is filled with water. I held it like a baby when it was full and I needed to move it as the handles felt like they'd rip off at any point.

Indoor friendly, no emissions and highly portable

Ready for camping or mountain living! We recently were evacuated for a wildfire and upon return to our home did not have clearance to use the water for showers etc. We realized that we would need a solution for showering in the future that was hands free and would allow us to use the device indoors as well as outdoors on a trail. This item is so compact when folded up and provided us with such peace of mind that we were ready for another water shutdown situation as well as for a trip into the wilderness. Simply warm the water and voila! You have access to a little creature comfort. It sure beats showering with cold bottles of water!

Not worth the hassle

Several design flaws and material deficiencies: Top carry handle is in direct path of whatever water source you decide to fill the tank with. This causes a lot of splashing and annoyance. Lid must be really, really, tight for the tank to pressurize but isn't designed so an average person can crank down with enough torque. All of the handles are rubberized webbing that easily tears under the weight of a full tank. The spray nozzle needs a hook to hang from which isn't included. Most importantly, a full tank will not heat up when placed in direct sunlight for an entire day.

Uwharrie 100 Kitchen

My wife and I are the RDs for the Uwharrie100 in NC. It is an incredibly remote 100 mile race in the mountains, and every year there is a need for running water for the Kitchen. We’ve struggled with basins and bowls and decided this year invest in a solution which really helped our volunteers attend to the kitchen with a tool that really helped. We used this all weekend with multiple users/fills and heard unanimously it was a game changer. Looking forward to less abusive normal use, but knowing it can handle what we put it through is awesome. Great product so far!

Good, not great, not that reliable

Bought the Helio LX in July 2022 and we have used it on four camping trips, totaling 12 nights. Pretty much from the first use the O-ring on the cap started popping off. It usually falls off into the tank and then I have to fish it out. After our last trip I lost the O-ring (perhaps when I dumped out the remaining water) and without the O-ring this thing is pretty much useless (it leaks and you cannot pressurize). I’m hoping NEMO can send me some spare O-rings, otherwise I’m returning it to REI. Other than that consistent issue, it’s a good design. It pressurizes quite well and is very useful for a camp shower and for doing dishes. The water usually warms up nicely in the sun and it’s easy enough to add some hot water from the stove for showers. But beware of that O-ring!

Great for so many things

Had been looking for a pressurized shower for our adventures in the van. From spraying ourselves off after a long multi day hike, the dogs after they got themselves into some mud, or the paddle boards to rid then of sand. With a large enough capacity but portable enough to take anywhere (except backpacking). Pressurizes quickly and has decent water flow. A simple but effective design, we are stoked to have found something that checked all the boxes and doesn't require any power. Boil a bit of water and add in to cut the chill. It's everything we were looking for.

Best Shower Pump Setup Out There!

Cant say enough good things about it! We've had ours for over 4 years!! Its held up beautifully! We use it every night we car camp. And we do about 8-10 trips per year. Joined with the Nemo Shower Tent (i.e. we have the older brown version lol), we haven't used a state park showering facility in 4 years. I noticed alot of complaints. I can tell you first hand if you treat the shower pump with respect like you actually want it to work for years, it will. Make sure you pump vertically and don't pull on the hoses. We even add a gallon of hot water from our camp grill, after we've added 4 gallons of cold (i.e. obviously not support by Nemo lol!).

bad shower

The plastic handles are not made for weight, mine broke instantly, first day i tried to use it. The lid has to be super tight for the compression pump to pressurize it then i can't get the lid off. It can be outside all day and NEVER get warm enough for a nice shower. I tried to put warm water in it but almost burned my hand as it kept collapsing without being pressurized, its a horrible product. The good old hanging bag shower is so much better. I'm sorry i bought this. It might come in handy to give my dog a bath but it's not a functioning device i can use.

Great... at first

The shower started out great. Easy to store and transport to your campsite. Awkward to carry once filled. Pressure is great when you pump it up. First one stopped working after one trip. Wouldn’t hold pressure. Returned at rei for a new one thinking I got a bad one. After one use it stopped working again. I do not recommend.
