A solid guide book
People often ask about Alaska, but the fact of the matter is, there is not one Alaska. Each region needs its own guidebook to truly do justice to this state and all there is to do, most guide books cover South Central where most visiors arrive and most live. But the Interior has some great trips and great activites that should not be overlooked. As a life long Alaskan, I hanker for somthing new and the interior offers it, this book is chauked full of not only trail descriptions but of river trips as well. Interior Alaska is a bounty of float trips and that alones makes this a great choice. But it also offers detailed trail descriptions, that allow one to choose the right one for the right person in the right mood with the right amount of time. This is the second edition which exceeds the first in many ways, better maps, photos and more trips. One great thing about this book is at the end of may trip description it offers the reader a bonus of tackleing a longer more challenging trip. So one can decide for themselves, that six miles day trip to short, no problem we have this multiday 25 mile one for you. If you live in Alaska or are are visiting beyond South Central this is the book you need.
