Vittoria Terreno Dry TR Tire
Aggressive file tread or super low-profile knob design? The Vittoria Terreno Dry TR tire bridges the gap between file treads and traditional all-condition treads.
- The key to this is the unique angled "fish scale" design that allows the center tread to roll extremely fast, yet offer traction when loaded in cornering and braking
- Add the transitional height middle and side tread, and the Terreno Dry transitions as smoothly as it rolls
- From gravel grinding to medium conditions 'cross racing, the Terreno Dry offers consistent performance
- Ramped center scales provide fast-rolling leading edge
- Sharp, responsive braking and cornering edges
- Functionalized GRAPHENE 2.0 compound features graphene in the spaces between rubber molecules to boost speed, wet grip, durability and puncture-resistance
- 3 compounds in the tread (3C) offer increased wear life and grip
- Proven tubeless-ready (TR) casing includes sidewall protection (derived from TNT MTB technology)

Hooked Rims Only!
Note: Embossed on the side of the Terreno Dry 2.0 tire, it states very clearly, "MOUNT ON HOOKED RIM ONLY". If you have hookless rims, you ride at your own risk. This information is not printed anywhere else on the packaging or instructions.
Solid rear tire option
These tires roll well, they're durable, and their shoulder knobs will reliably save you if you loose traction as you're turning/banking on loose gravel. It's a similar idea to the Specialized Pathfinder but executed far more efficiently. The Pathfinder is great for smooth, flat riding, but it's trash as soon as the riding gets technical - the knobs are squirmy and unpredictable, whereas the Terreno Dry will engage reliably and predictably as soon as the shoulder knobs make contact w/ the ground. I ride mellow single track and loose over hard gravel, and I do wish these tires had small center tread for better traction going straight. The center tread (or not-tread, to put it more accurately) cuts loose more easily than something like the Bontrager GR1 or the Maxxis Rambler when you're putting power to pedals on steep uphills or when you're breaking on a steep descent, which is why I don't recommend it as a front tire for anything other than pavement and ultra smooth gravel. I'm 160lbs and ride ~42psi. Haven't had any issues with seating the tire and haven't had any issues with punctures.
Great tubeless tire and easy install
Tires installed easily and have held up well to the gravel trail I ride daily. Currently have 500 miles and no flats. Great control in corners and smooth roll on pavement. My new favorite tire.
Doesn't Hold Up Well
These tires came with my Cannondale Quick CX 3 bike. The tires, especially the rear tire, didn't hold up well. I only got a little over 425 miles on the rear tire before the center tread was worn flat due to the torque and braking effects on the rear tire. I switched the tires out for WTB Nano tires. Most of my riding is on paved roads and multi-use paved trails. The one positive to these Vittoria tires is that they do roll quickly, but why would you want to spend more than $30 for a tire you're having to replace after only 400 miles of riding?
Terrano Dry
I have 38C's tubeless on my ADV 2.2 and they absorb road shocks like riding a steel frame instead of aluminum, easy to mount, and grip like crazy both loose and hard. Some like road noise but these tires quiet!
Excellent tire traction & performance
Great performance in a bike tire. We like to bike thru fields and this tire offers better traction.
Great tire for the gravel and chunder
So far, I'm very happy with these tires. Great on the gravel. They are hard to mount on the rims (but what tubeless tire isn't these days). They wouldn't be my first choice for pavement or routes with more pavement than gravel. I'll stick with Pathfinders for those days. However, these tires roll very well.
Not recommended if you're using tubes
Both tires had multiple gravel punctures within 3 months [ and not from hard gravel riding, from little bits of gravel on otherwise smooth commuter bide/pedestrian paths ] that tore through tubes. If you're riding tubeless, then might not be an issue. I liked them while I had that, but would not ride on them again, too unreliable.
Ride and grip ok but heavy and puncture prone
Very heavy. Very puncture prone. Ride quality and grip is good but durability....not so good. I had sealant on the frame on almost every ride I did.
Thin wall Terreno Dry
Terreno Dry 38c came with my new Quick CX and have punctured three different times in under 120 miles of mostly paved bike trails and very little gravel road trips. Two of these flats were on the rear rim which makes for a little extra repair time on the trail without proper accessories for repair.
