This shirt is a disappointment on multiple fronts: 1—After just a few washings, the fabric is pilling – I’ve purchased quite a few performance shirts from REI, and this is the first to pill ---- 2—The shirt has some type of bizarre dye disintegration problem ---- I keep finding small black steaks emerging on the shirt that look like ink pen marks---- It appears that the dye is unstable ---- 3—The shirt does not breathe well, and thus feels feel much warmer than other light-weight performance shirts I have purchased from REI ---- The above problems are especially disappointing because I have washed the shirt in cold water and line dry it.
This is a good product but ideally it should be longer in the back. It leaves the lower back exposed too easily, which is annoying because the product is otherwise great. I used the measurement key on the website: when in doubt, consider buying larger size than the key tells you to.
Only washed a few times and worn a half-dozen times, but starting to get frayed, pilled, and shabby around the collar. Fabric's a bit thin and not as warm as my other shirts. Reasonable at a very steep discount, but I wouldn't pay full price for one again and would recommend a good used Smartwool shirt over this one.
held some odor after first use (wore all day indoors and on a brief run). probably worth getting a higher quality wool layer if you are looking for odor resistance
I absolutely LOVE these base layer shirts from tasc. I simply do not understand some of the bad reviews I’m reading. They are soft and definitely keep me warm on a cold day. Of course they are a base layer. So you have to layer up. But I love how they feel on my skin and they will definitely keep you warm. Love them.
I work a few days a week outdoors at a golf course. I use this shirt as a base layer with 3 sometimes 4 layers over it and peel as I get warm. The shirt is comfortable, not itchy, holds it shape and I really like the thumb holes.
I give it three stars because it fits proper. For a thin fabric it is a little on the rough side specially if you wear it as a base layer.
The material has enough stretch to be comfortable when on the move. Merino and bamboo too good to be true and I even like the thumb holes too!
very happy with it for the price, quality product and confortable
I bought all three colors for using as a base layer underneath my cycling jackets. I love the feel of merino wool. It's soft to the touch and even after riding (not drenching in sweat) you can continue to use. I like the thumb hook, perfect for pushing your hand through tight cycling jacket sleeves. I am glad I bought these at the sale price.
