Excellent: Easy & Reliable
I've had this cadence sensor for over two years and paired it with two different Garmin Edge computers and a Garmin Fenix watch. I have biked thousands of miles in that time on road, dirt, and trails... on many beautiful days and gotten caught in a couple terrible rainstorms. That entire time, the sensor has worked perfectly. It pairs quickly and automatically with the computer. When I had to replace the battery, it was incredibly easy. I am very happy with the cadence sensor and recommend it highly!

They Break
This was to replace the sensor that broke and fell off the crank during my ride along the coast. The little plastic hooks are fragile and can break causing you to lose the sensor so inspect it before you take off.

Great for connecting spin bike to virtual reality

The first one I received was defective but was easily returned at my local REI and replaced. Bought the Garmin Bike Cadence Sensor 2 to be able to use my spin bike with VZfit Explorer on the Oculus Quest virtual reality headset, which allows me to do virtual reality bike rides around the world using Google maps. Once I got the replacement, the sensor easily connected to my bike and connected to my headset. I'm ready to go and explore the world on my bike in virtual reality.

Worked well with Garmin Instinct Solar

Worked well with Garmin Instinct Solar even though they aren't listed as being comptabile with one another. I strapped it onto my bike and it instantly worked and has never been a problem.

Make sure you ONLY PAY FOR 1.

Works as advertised, but make sure cashier doesn't charge you for two of them before you leave the store. This happened to me and it was a hassel getting my account credited.

Dr.V

Cadence is really important when doing workouts on my rollers. I got a really fast turn around. I was back up in a couple of days.

Just for Gamin products and its followers?

Good: Weight, simplicity. It seems to be good for Garmin Computers. Bad: Garmin Bike Cadence Sensor 2 is not listed in the Garmin Connect app devices list. App does not recognize the sensor alone (for me at least). To follow: is it possible to pair the sensor by itself with a smartphone app?

Not compatible with VivoFit3

I should have done my homework online first. REI associate told me it would be compatible with my VivoFit. Turns out that is one of the only Garmin devices it won't sync with.

Useless - won’t sync with Garmin Edge

I was excited about this product when I bought it last Spring. Installation was ok but it won’t sync at all with my Garmin Edge. No one has extra time to deal with things that don’t quickly and accurately set up.
