Weston Range = Ultimate Versatility
The Range splitboard is hands down the most versatile splitboard on the market. It is the main board I ride on everything from freestyle/freeride backcountry to technical splitboard mountaineering. I even rode this splitboard from the summit of Denali! If you're looking for a splitboard that freestyles at ease while still maintaining great float in powder the Range is the one. Its ability to ride technical terrain with its tremendous agility is incredible as well!
Great All Around Splitboard
This has been my splitboard of choice for the past three seasons, and I have ridden it anywhere from mellow pow runs to hard packed 50 degree couloirs. The camber profile of this board allows it to hold an edge while skinning or on firm terrain and float in powder regular or switch. This board also has an incredibly hard base that deflects rocks, which are likely be encountered in the backcountry. Finally, the directional twin shape makes it playful, so I would suggest this board for anyone that wants to ride pillows or do some spins in the backcountry. In conclusion, I trust this board in every condition in the backcountry and am excited to see where it takes me this season.
Freestyling in the backcountry
If you're looking to ride some switch and maybe add a spice of freestyle into the backcountry, this is your go to board! I have ridden this thing on pretty much every type of condition out there and it has yet to disappoint. It is great having a non directional splitboard in the quiver for those days I am feeling sessioning a jump or a wind feature where I will be landing switch. Also tours like a dream.
The obvious choice
Being that I ride the 155 range solid it was a no brained to get it split as well. And I am not let down in any way shape or form. This board is great on the skin track awesome for sending cliffs, backcountry booters, and spring couloirs.
Edge and Float
The 155 solid version was an on mountain beast! This was all the influence I needed to copy my choice with the 158 Split Range. Edge,Float, and Pop. Just had to do it for that easy transition between both joys.
