Great Jacket, But Not "Warmest"
This is a great jacket, but it is listed by REI in the category of "Warmest". It's a great jacket if you're doing an active outdoor activity, but isn't that warm. So, if it's below freezing and you're going to be standing around, this isn't the jacket for you. It should be reclassified by REI's web team.
Great Jacket
This is a great jacket, high quality materials. Well placed vents to keep from overheating while on the slopes or on the sailboat. Not ideal for dingy racing, little bulky and does not seal perfectly for spray, I use if for day sailing on bigger boats where I do not get wet. Works great for skiing
Junk
Horrible customer service- new jacket missing pocket.
Great ski jacket and good for everyday winter too!
Love this jacket, especially as a ski jacket but also looks and works great for everyday winter! It’s really well sealed against wind, and just warm enough without being too hot. On frigid days, it needs a mid-weight layer (fleece) under it, which works well too. It’s got every imaginable pocket in just the right spot, and is incredibly high quality construction.
Best Jacket I’ve Ever Owned
The Juniper 3.0 jacket is hands-down the best winter jacket I’ve ever purchased. I originally needed something sharp for work travel but didn’t want to invest in a typical bulky winter coat. This jacket not only exceeded my expectations for business travel, but it also doubled as an incredible ski jacket—perfectly blending both worlds. First, the fit and material are flawless. As a bigger guy, finding a jacket that fits well and looks sharp can be tough. The Juniper 3.0 is perfectly structured—not too slim, not too roomy—and drapes in a way that looks polished and flattering. It has this amazing ability to hold its shape, even after being packed at the bottom of my backpack on a flight from Florida to Colorado. When I pulled it out, it looked as crisp and ready as when I packed it. The weight is just right—not too bulky and not too light. Paired with a basic long-sleeve poly base layer and a Patagonia Nano Puff, it was all I needed to stay warm and comfortable in snowy Steamboat conditions. It handled the slopes effortlessly, but what really surprised me is how well it transitions to work. Whether paired with slacks for professional events or jeans for casual outings, it looks incredibly stylish and polished. If you’re on the fence about this jacket, just go for it. It’s not just a purchase—it’s an investment in something that will serve you in every way. From ski slopes to boardrooms, the Helly Hansen Juniper 3.0 has you covered. You won’t regret it.
Great warm coat
Best winter coat I've bought in a long time. I spend a lot of time in cold ice rinks and started wearing heated vests under all of my coats. Bought this one and no longer need the heated vest. Love the under arm opening that allow air flow there.
A GREAT JACKET
I have been completely satisfied with this jacket.
Almost perfect winter jacket
like the light weight and warmth, and good wind proofing. Up on the top of a snowy mountain with strong wind and still feels good. Have not try the water-proofing yet in the rain. Wish the inside left breast pocket is bigger, it is so small that I can't even fit my iphone-Plus in with a medium protective case. Also wish there is a inside right breast pocket too.
