Appear well made and allow great dexterity.
After one day in these gloves, they feel like a winner. I hope they stand the test of time. Bought for general outdoor work. Leather appears very quality. I like the reinforced suede palm for grim and durability. Nice fleece lining that is warm but not for extreme temps which I like because dexterity is very good. I usually am between a medium and a large for gloves. The mediums fit me very well. A bit tight but the leather feels quite supple and I believe these will break in to form a perfect fit for my hand. I especially love the fit. They slim and low profile. They fit my skinny hands well and allow for good dexterity.
Awesome gloves!
Picked up in store for $14 (they were discounted because the fleece lining on the right hand was for the left hand, making them a little tricky to put on - but at the price figured I'd see how they worked). Did an overnight winter hiking trip in the Adirondacks - daytime temps were around 0F and night got down to -15F. Wore these gloves in camp and they were warmer than my double gloves - used them for everything in camp and then decided to hike out in them too rather than put other gloves. Perfect glove. Will get another pair for sure (without the lining issue).
My surprise splitboarding gloves
I bought these gloves just to use for drinking beers outside, checking the mail, and general nonsense neighborhood activities here in Alaska. Being only $40 I really didn't expect much from them, even based on the reviews. I decided a few weeks ago to take them out in the BC (actually forgot my primary gloves) and was shocked that I never even thought about my hands. They have been my go-to splitboard gloves since with Temps ranging from -14 to 18. Extremely comfortable and versatile...hold beers and ski poles with the best of them.
Best purchase of the year
This is hands down the best money I've spent on gear this year (and I have not spent a *small* amount). I'm a woman who likes outdoorsy work stuff but am also a princess who gets cold easily and cares about her nails, so I wanted durable, warm, and functional gloves to get me through winter. I am SO glad I found these. They're warm but thin enough to work with, really comfortable on my narrow hands/wrists, and seem durable so far. In one weekend I used them for winter camping setup/cleanup, hanging out outside with a coffee, clearing out a (fairly gross) outdoor storage shed, and putting together some shelves. I will probably wear them for everything that happens outdoors from here on out. For sizing, my hand measures almost 8.5" at its longest but is very narrow. The Medium fit really well, it was a bit loose around my hand and wrist but stayed on perfectly and the extra fabric didn't get in my way. These are really well-designed gloves, highly recommend.
Warm, windproof, and water resistant gloves!
These gloves are great and were exactly what I was looking for. They are fleece lined, which gives them a really good hand-feel and keeps your digits warm. The leather on the outside keeps the wind out while still remaining relatively dexterous, allowing you to get things done without removing the gloves. I've worn them on hikes, while sledding, while skiing, and for normal, everyday activities (taking out the trash, going for a walk, etc.). If you are looking for a pair of gloves that are waterPROOF, then you may want to go in another direction. These are waterRESISTANT, but not waterPROOF. Any sustained exposure to water can potentially soak through the stitching. With that said, I'd been out in the snow with them for hours at a time and haven't had any issues with water soaking through the gloves. I'm really happy with this purchase and hope they last for years to come!
1 year later: The all rounder glove that keep goin
A simple, durable and comfortable glove. It holds up to any task and is always reliable. I have not had issues with stitching, or leather tearing. It’s a thin glove and so the insulation is minimal but is great for 3 seasons. I’ve used them for campfires, cooking, cutting wood, hiking, snowboarding, biking, driving and just to wear to keep my bare hands covered. 1 year strong and should easily last a few more. They take a beating and have a nice patina, just keep them waxed up.
Go-to glove going on 3 winters
I have had these gloves for over 2 years and use them to do almost anything outside in the winter. They are perfect for keeping a good grip on the leash of our very active golden retriever. I always have cold hands and the fleece lining is perfect for me down to the high 20’s.
These are OK gloves
As they are, these are nice gloves, well made. Disappointment: I was hoping for somewhat thicker insulation. It is definitely on the thin side, so warmer than unlined leather, but not something for the colder weather winter can bring. On the positive side, they are not bulky and the leather gives good grip on slick surfaces. Sizing? I guess in the world of modern gloves, they are "true to size" b-u-t, my hands are not big (in the world or male hands, I think of mine as medium sized), yet the Large (which is what I ordered based on my recent history with gloves) is the size for my hands (dominant hand knuckle circumference is 8.5"). (So many, many gloves, these days are much smaller than I expect.) These were worth buying, but I am still looking for a glove more inline with what I envision.
Great, warm, protect your hands!
I love these gloves! I got these as I do a lot of activity where regular gloves may end up getting ripped or piereced and needing to protect my hands while also wanting to stay warm. These gloves have kept my hands warm and protected while hiking and biking, in the sun, snow & rain. I do a lot of scramble hiking, especially in the Southwest, these gloves have held up climbing rocks and coming close to Cactus and other spikey plants. I have had them for over 1 year and they are still holding up. Very happy with these.
Versatile glove
I got a small and I’m a 5’5 fit woman and they are a tiny bit roomy like I like them to fit. A bit warm to rake leaves since they’re lined by I’m looking forward to shoveling snow with them (well not really!) They’ll also be great for walking the dog. Definitely recommend!
