Best durability I've seen in children's ski pants
We have only owned these a short time, but already like them much better than the big-box store snowpants we were using previously. In addition to the much better insulation and waterproofing, there are a thousand little design features that make them a better choice than most competitors. The suspender straps are adjusted via buttons rather than velcro, which I prefer because velcro wears out and weakens so quickly. There is an inseam extender feature to get an extra season out of them before they're outgrown, and even a little plastic D-ring for attaching a ski lift pass! Additionally the reinforced knees and seat make this a product that can be worn by multiple children and then donated rather than one that will need to be replaced every season. Definitely worth the extra expense versus anything you would find in a big box store. Use it and then pass it on! We liked them so well we've already ordered the matching coat. I expect these to be in service for years.
not impressed with quality for toddler
I bought these for my son who wore them less than a handful of times. The seams started to wear on the inner legs and no longer provided a waterproof protection. Sadly REI would not return the item deeming this “normal wear and tear”. I expect better quality for outdoor wear.
Please put zipper or buttons on bottom cuffs
Love the durability. What would make them better was if they had buttons or zips at the bottom of the leg cuffs. The leg cuffs are a little narrow and I was barely able to fit them over my daughter’s ski boots.
Great for snow
Took my son to the snow this year, we did decided to purchase from Rei co-op, and it was a great decision. These kept my toddler warm, while giving him the ability to move around freely.
