I absolutely adore the look

I absolutely adore the look of these. I thought I’d offered the steel toe version however but apparently did not. I am a concrete carpenter so safety and comfort are seriously important to me. Turns out even with different smart feet inserts they just aren’t for me. But thinking I could / would break them in, I went ahead and applied some tough toe therefore would be unable to request a return. The women’s stronghold has been solid for me but longevity wise they break down (tear at the toe seams and inside lining tears) with just over 6 months of wear. They are however comfortable straight out of the gate + waterproof (good for Seattle outdoor work life).

They do run big so

They do run big so get a half size smaller, I wear size 6 and I bought 51/2 and they fit just just right, as for the comfort you could walk all day in them if your a wide foot try to get them in wide, as for the look their cute and the Burgundy laces and a beautiful touch to them.

The construction is second to

The construction is second to none. We have over 20 years experiencing life in Danner boots. Our family has had at least 6 pairs of Danners. This boot however fits a bit different. Normal size for my wife is a 8 with previous Danners, ordered a 8.5 as she bumped up in Running shoes the past 2 years and she mentioned heel slip when they arrived. We returned them and re-ordered a size 8 thinking we were good to go. (Our fault) She immediately started wearing them out and about and after a week has heel slip still. Not sure if she should have bumped down to a 7.5 for leather break in but now we are stuck. They look great, just would not recommend to order online.

They Will Do

These boots fit to size and have a quick wear in time, but a number of the design features don't hold up like my other work boots. (I work outdoors in dirt and brush.) There is no pull loop on the back and the speed laces go to the very top of the boot collar rendering the last one useless. Those are just fitting preferences, but the more frustrating design flaw is that the stitching where the tongue and eyelets meet isn't completely closed so that dirt and foxtails work their way into my socks. I am sure these boots will hold up and I appreciate that they can be resoled, but I wont be buying another pair in the future.

Long hours on feet

I have owned these for 2 months now. I wear a 6 in Red Wing Moc Toes and ordered a 5.5 in these...they do run large. I wore them around my home for about 10 hours. Then wore them to work for 9 hour shifts of extensive walking on tile floors. They were initially stiff around my right ankle and pinched the tops of my feet. They also felt a tad narrow. Once the leather molded to my feet at about 60 hours of work, they feel amazing and fit like a glove. The soles have been super comfortable to walk in from day one. My feet are always happy at the end of my shifts. I highly recommend these! A bonus is I constantly receive compliments from men and women. Thank you Danner!!

I am a 47 year

I am a 47 year old female that has worked in the construction industry for 26 of those years. When searching for boots it has always been a disappointing search, my foot size is 6.5. Steel toe boots are readily available; however I don't need steel toe. These boots are comfortable, durable, and fit perfectly! I love the design, and the boot sole that doesn't collect mud. I have also noticed less knee joint pain after a long day of working in these boots. Love, Love, Love these boots. My only complaint is the price that I have to pay for a boot that uses much less material than a size 12 mens, and I would bet that the size 12 price isn't to far off of my small women's 6.5. Sincerely, Tiffany

Expected more

I really wanted to love these boots. I’m a union ironworker so I’m on my feet for 8-10 hours/day. They broke in very easily which was lovely for me considering I have wide/flat feet but as the title says, I really did expect more. I bought these boots in December of ‘22 and the stitching is already coming apart on my left boot where it creases when I walk. I certainly didn’t get my moneys worth with the price I paid for these. Don’t get me wrong, they look amazing and are light on my feet but once again, I really expected more. Especially with an American made boot. Now I’m trying to figure out what other brand will better suit my needs. Maybe I’ll use these as a summer boot and get something different for the winter.

Motorcyclist Gives Thumbs Up

I typically wear size 8.5 or a 9. I ordered these boots in an 8. You must break them in before they become comfortable. They will hurt at first due to stiffness, but become great once broken in. Shoe size variance is very true for my size. Buy smaller size to find right fit.
