Love this bag
Great bag, would’ve given 5 stars if it had more organization pockets. Other than that, love it!
phenomenal.
I have had this bag for 6 months. And it is the best daily bag I have every owned. The u lock holster is so convenient. This bag is small, but if you carry a purse or a Fanny pack. This will be plenty of room. The fastening straps on the sides also come in handy. There are several strange items that I have been able to fit in the straps on the side. For example a large desk lamp. And a rod for a shower curtain. The material is very heavyweight and durable. And it does not feel cheap at all. I would recommend getting chromes phone holster that comes separately. Together they are perfect. No complaints.
Careful of the Wrecking Ball Effect…and Sweat
The size, construction, and the stabilization strap on this are great. It really stays in place when I’m riding a bike. I can only give it three stars though due to two pretty big drawbacks (at least for me). The first is that it doesn’t breathe at all (there’s no mesh backing on the back of the bag). In Texas this means you’re going to sweat a LOT under it even when just walking or hiking. The second is the buckle weighs almost as much as the bag and simply taking the bag on and off causes it to swing like a wrecking ball destroying everything in its path (pro tip, don’t take it off when standing next to your car). I end up leaving it buckled and putting it on like a shirt over my head but the inconvenience, weight, and wrecking ball carefulness could be fixed with a different buckle.
On The Go Sling!
Love my chrome Kadet.Nice to have a go to sling that I can use on small trips and even for quick workouts where I don't need to take much.I would love to see future improvements such as longer compression straps like the Fjallraven Ulvo large sling bag and would love to be able to wear it as a waist pack like the Kovak sling.I'm an NYPD crossing guard and we aren't allowed to use anything that obscures our safety vest so a large waistpack where I can carry an extra jacket, workout gear etc is ideal and so far the Fjallraven Ulvo large fits the bill but would love a waistpack the size of the Kadet or a larger Kovak.Make it and I'll buy it!
Absolutely Incredible Bag
I looked a long time for a sling bag that would meet my needs, and the Kadet has not disappointed me in any way. This is simply an amazing bag in every way possible! The material and workmanship is tough, durable and fashionable. The interior space is well thought out and can hold all my EDC gear for work and play. Zippers and other hardware work well and is designed to last in both a demanding urban environment and in the rigors of the bush, so the Kadet doubles as a day bag for hiking. The strap with its seatbelt design isn’t a gimmick: it’s tough, comfortable, and easy to drop and switch-up. This is a great bag for anything I’ve asked of it so far.
Nice bag if it’s what you’re looking for.
The bag is really pretty good. Solid quality and simple design. It’s very comfortable and perfect if you’re carrying a relatively small amount. I carried a water bottle, light jacket, a few bars, my kindle, and a few other small items. It was perfect for those sorry of daily carry kind of items. It barely fits my iPad, would not work for a laptop. I don’t think you’d want to carry more than a few pounds it.
My 5th Chrome bag
The Kadet Night is my 5th Chrome bag and my daily go to bag. I often commute by motorcycle, and when the weather co-operates, this is what I pick to carry my gear. It's "large" enough to fit my13" Macbook Pro and 11" iPad Pro with the ability to get my wallet, sunglasses, cables and power accessories, and a few small sundry items. It's also small enough to fit in a small locker or large desk drawer. The Night versions are what anyone who rides anything at night needs. The large panel on the face of the Kadet grabs your attention in the dark. I'll probably get a Citizen Night Messenger bag for those times I need more cargo room.
Nice and stylish light carry option
I use this bag (along with a pannier, if necessary) for my daily commute. It's light, useful to stow the jacket I wear in the morning when it warms up in the afternoon. The nylon is durable, and although the main compartment features a waterproof zipper it doesn't have the waterproof lining featured on other bags. Also, compression straps on a bag this size seem primarily stylistic but they do look cool and feature a reflective coating. The shoulder strap is well-padded and well-designed. The bag is comfortable to wear, and impossible to overload your back with. If you just need a minimalist bag and waterproofing isn't necessary this is an attractive option.
(1) The perfect gift to yourself;
Since 2006, I've procured seven CHROME bags, in addition to various other apparel and assessory products (socks, shorts, knickerbockers, shoes, jacket, caps). The Bags: I go nowhere within one on my back. The larger ones (metros) accommodate just about anything I put in them, including two grocery-bags of comestibles, The Mini-Metros make excellent school-bags (books, tablet, et.) The KADET, my newest bag is gradually making a place for itself, among my other carryalls. It's light, compact, versatile, and elicits lots of queries and complements. I'm rarely seen in public, without a CHROME bag. I'm addicted to them,
Great bag for carrying the essentials without a huge bag
So far I have been enjoying this sling. I primarily use it when I'm skating and want to carry everything I need for the day. It feels good while I'm riding and it's very easy to take off and put on. I wish that both zippers had that water repellent cover to them. Although I havent found any issues with water getting in yet. I think a useful addition to this bag would be a hidden compartment where the back of the bag is resting. It can be small and you can hold smaller valuable items in it. It would be hidden since the back of ththe back is resting on your back. That way no pick pocketers can get any of your items.
