Merrell  Barkley Capture Shoes - Men's

These shoes are very comfortable, look fantastic, but the soles might as well be Styrofoam! The best way that I can describe the soles is being very similar in material to Crocs. I biked to work three times last week with them and the soles are already shredded! Even without biking, I doubt they'd last a month of normal walking at my job. Very poor material choice, unfortunately! I've worn a pair of Merrell sneakers for over two years now and they're some of my favorite shoes. If the soles were different on these, they could be fantastic! I guess it's back to the ol' sneakers for now.

I bought two pairs of these sneakers about two weeks ago because I love Merrell shoes and these looked awesome. I have purchased several pairs of hiking boots and shoes from Merrell in the past. These are as comfortable as all my other Merrell shoes. My only gripe about these sneakers is that the soles are incredibly soft. I've been wearing an average amount and I've already worn down the soles considerably. I am sure in a short time, the treads will be completely gone, rending these shoes useless.

Okay, I really do love these and I'll wear them until I can't but... There's a big issue here. The soles wear quickly and the real issue is when the pavement is wet, these things are real slick... Not in a good way. As long as it's dry, These are awesome. Really comfortable, cool and stylist. Just the soles wear quick and they are dangerously slick in wet weather.

Size much as expected, but just a little long. Width is great fit. Too many lacing eyelets, 7 not needed. I think the lacing contributed to a somewhat longer than usual break in period; couple of weeks and not fully comfortable. I would not buy again, mostly because of aforementioned and they seem too light in weight for me.

I had tried several other premium brands of this style, all of them were sloppy in fit and lacked support. These have a great fit (similar to all other Merrell shoes), superb support for a flat sneaker, and are lightweight as well. These are a great choice for business casual workwear. I'm buying other colors as well.

Sometimes you need comfortable shoes that are not bright. These are a good choice. The fit typical of Merrell. The leather is soft and contours to my foot. I have seen others mention the sole and must agree that it looks like it will wear faster than the leather upper. We will see. For now it is great.

I have been very pleased with these, Merrel shoes fit me perfectly, and these are no exception. Casual enough for jeans, but upscale enough with chinos in a business casual setting, I rarely wear anything else to the office due to the combination of style and comfort. Great job, Merrell.

These are great shoes provided you don't walk about with them. The soles wear down immediately. My purchase was for a casual work shoe downtown, so not a lot of walking, but the shoe still only lasted a few months. I'll now use them for slippers at home.

This is my second Pair, they are the most comfortable lightweight Shoes I've owned. I wore the last pair a year and walked tens of miles at a time, without any breakdown or discomfort. Even bought My Grandson a Pair after He remarked on the Quality.

I stand and walk a lot for my job but need to be professional looking. I was struggling to find shoes that were classy and comfortable. These shoes have been perfect so far. I have had two months and they are just what I wanted.
