Defective design from the start

Ill start by saying the majority of Marmot gear is the opposite of fast fashion, reliable, sturdy, and quality construction. Unfortunately, this product is the exception. I purchased two of these last summer and both of them ripped in two different places on the first time I washed them. The fabric is far too soft and the threads too weak for this to ever last through any sort of minimal wear. I have contact Marmot for a return on both of them. They have some really great shirts but this product is absolutely not one of them. Cheers,

Weird collar. Flimsy fabric.

Received as a Christmas gift, will be returning. Shirt fits pretty well overall: a modern, relatively slim cut. The collar, however, looks like it belongs on a shirt two sizes larger. It's awkward-looking when buttoned up, and even more ridiculous unbuttoned a couple notches. Also: like most "midweight" flannels, this is actually a lightweight, kind of flimsy fabric. Also: I get that this is targeted towards a "performance" demographic, but polyester does NOT belong in a flannel shirt. Also: branding on clothes is tacky.

Good fit, poor quality

I purchased this for my husband. It's comfortable and flattering and a great fit but after a handful washes/wears it has pilled so badly it looks terrible. He still wears it, but for the price I expected better quality. His 4 flannels from Marmot have all pilled horribly this winter, and all his other ones from cheaper brands haven't. So I'm disappointed in that. Also he's usually a large in other brands and needed XL in this one, so just know it's a trimmer fit.

Best Flannel Yet

Best flannel shirt I have ever owned and I have owned plenty. Glad to see Marmot quality still holds up. Many nice things about this shirt and I nailed the fit. Not sure how or why but it is the most comfortable flannel shirt I have ever owned. No irritation points around the collar or wrists like some. The material feels soft and pliable. Now I just have to see how long it lasts and holds up to being washed.

Glad to have a solid go-to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this shirt a month ago because I was down to one hard-used flannel shirt in my closet. I thought I would just wear this around the house but have found myself wearing it on the walks we take every day to get our exercise. I've also used this on my bike as a light layer. Great fit--I wear a large and have very broad shoulders. Not too baggy around the waist. Looks nice

Quality, no shrinkage

Ive had many flannels of lesser quality shrink and contort in odd ways. The only one which has held up is a Marmot I've had for years and probably 100 washes with no shrinking. I decided to give up on the discount shirts and picked up this one. True to form it looks great, feels great, and has not shrunk after the first 5 washes. Highly recommended

Snug and warm and nice!

It fits snug. Now, that Could be the dadbod, but it is a slimmer fit. Also, and incidentally also related to dadbod, it is very warm! You Could wear this as a jacket, again, if you had the right size. Dadbod? Go and extra size bigger. Very well made and good looking, like a middle aged dad.

Nice Shirt

I tried this shirt on and the fit seemed correct for this size shirt. i believe the pattern is balanced. nice feel to the material. nice dark blues. there's not a ton of brown, but it makes it seem darker with the dark hues of blue. still balanced colors and patterns.

My New Fall Favorite

I bought this shirt about a month ago and it's already become my new fall favorite shirt. I can throw it on over a tee-shirt when it's cool or layer with it on chilly days. I love that it has some polyester in it so it wicks moisture quickly. Very comfy and cozy.

Best Buy in a While

Really soft, fits well as described except maybe a bit longer would be ideal. To be fair my belly is sticking out further than is normal these days. SO the shirt is probably the right length. It definitely is perfect in the shoulders.
