Needs Compression straps like the REI Big Haul 120
I finally bought this 100 liter model of the Patagonia 100 liter duffell bag and it is nice and spacious/cavernous inside. However, it would be even greater if it had compression straps on it. That's the only reason for 4 stars. Even my rei big haul 120 and my eagle creek no matter what duffell bag have compression straps on them. The only solution I can think of is to get 2 or 3 free/independent straps and then put them around this Patagonia 100 liter duffell bag so that it's nice and tight and snug.
Not As Durable As Advertised
After much research, I bought this duffel bag to take on a sailing trip in the Caribbean. It is everything it's advertised to be - huge, holds lots and lots of stuff, truly a black hole. (Definitely use packing cubes). However, when I got home, I noticed a tear in the bottom of the bag after being checked on Delta airlines. I expected a lot more durability from Patagonia, and this is very disappointing.
Best check-in bag duffel.
Excellent check-in bag for any airline. Didn't want to have a heavy bag that contributed to my 50lbs. Fits everything plus more than what I need.
