Arc'teryx  Covert Vest - Men's

I ordered two of these for work and play. I really want to love this vest. It’s well made, versatile, and looks great but had a slightly odd fit. I’m 6’1 185 and almost always wear a L Arcteryx. (Slim and Reg) This one fits perfect from the top to just below the chest but then it’s way too full on the bottom half for even a reg cut Arcteryx. The medium is great on the bottom but too tight up top and I’m slim up top. I prefer the look of the Covert so I can’t decide if I’m going to keep and wear or return and try the Kyanite Vest. If I grow a winter belly the Covert would be perfect. Haha. I know it’s not suppose to be a tech fit but I hope Arcteryx will adjust the lower half fit in the future. Then it’s 5 Star all the way.

The fabric used is terrible. This vest will pill like crazy after the first wash. Patagonia doesn't have this problem with the better sweater. I'm surprised Arcteryx didn't catch this issue earlier.

I've been waiting for a vest in the Covert fabric and was excited to see this come out this year. Fits like the jacket, just without sleeves. I would have liked to see it in a more relaxed cut. I'm hoping future iterations would incorporate either an internal or (preferably) external chest pocket, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

This vest was a birthday gift for my husband and he loves it. It's the perfect weight for an extra layer during the colder months but not too heavy or bulky like a down vest would be. The sweater weave is a nice change from fleece fabric and it can be dressed up or down. I am thinking of getting the ladies version for myself!

I absolutely love the low profile, high performance combo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own two of the cardigans, but wanted something less warm for outdoor wear on the trail. The vest is perfect for that, in the house, and shopping. I am 6'2, 180, and the fit was perfect. Performance has been great.

This is an overpriced vest but offers great design and workmanship. Super comfortable, like a sweater with no sleeves.
