Great toque but just too small.

Nicely made, with a super warm down fill - but it's just too small. I ordered a L/XL and according to the charts my head just barely makes it into the large category yet the toque is quite tight around the temples and forehead. Who do these companies use as fit models? Jazzfess p.s. My wife, however, absconded with it so I didn’t have to pay for return shipping. All’s well that ends well.

Love affair

Other than non-stop compliments, it’s the best thing in my mountaineering pack. I always sleep in my bag with it on. It is a little tight, and I have a 900cc cranium...which is in the homo-erectus range. So, nobody over about 12 y/o should get the small. I’m getting one for my sweetheart, so he can keep his head warm too! Thank you, OR.

BEWARE Runs EXTREMELY small

Unless you’re a toddler, child, or have tiny head syndrome, do not get small/medium. I run small in everything and this beanie was too small to even wrap around my entire head, I am having to exchange for a large.

Totally Awesome, but it does run small

I have a small head so I ordered a large and it fits over a fleece cap for extra warmth. It can also be worn alone when the temps aren't horrible and the wind isn't blowing. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

Fits VERY SMALL, uncomfortable

I found this to be very uncomfortable. The elastic around the bottom cuts into my head and the lining of ripstop nylon was also unpleasant. I could not wear it at all.

Tight!

I bought this to wear on chilly nights in the fa#t sack. I may have an abnormally large noggin but the hat is TIGHT! I can't wear it for more than 20 minutes before the blood to my brain starts to shut down... Well it may be not that tight but for me it is uncomfortable. It is undoubtedly warm but maybe it was designed for a child -- who knows???

Warm and worth the money!

This hat was bought in large even though I am a smaller female because it was more comfortable to me. this hat fits in my bag weightlessly and goes on fast when I am cold. It's warm and does the job. I put another beanie over it for a fashion look. I would buy it again and give it out as presents, love this purchase!

S/M Size is a little bit too snug

So I have a pretty small head and decided to go with the size I usually wear in hats. But this one is just a little bit tight for my head. It really does keep your head worm and the fact that you can pack it down is great. But I do hate that after a while I have to pull the hat back down.

Size wise, these max out at about a 7 1/2. I also don't recommend them for any kind of intense activity, as the sweat will stop the down from working. As a sleep layer, however, this is a fantastic way to boost your warmth without adding alot of weight. Highly recommend.

Nice and light but too small

The S/M fits only a 55cm head circumference so really a kids size. Unfortunately, will have to give this away as it is too small. I Wanted to order a down touque/beanie for my husband but neither of the Outdoor Research products are big enough.
