Great Running Shoes at a Great Price

I was very happy to get these at a discount price. I've never gone wrong with Brooks. But since all feet aren't the same, best to choose running shoes best for yours. I have a narrow heal and this seems to work. They worked great, right out of the box. Took a strenuous hike in the Los Angeles mountains, the first time I wore them. Rock scrambled and they didn't slip. Being new helps. Definitely not made for scrambling. Most time I use them for power walking or leisure. Bought a 1/2 size bigger at the past recommendation of a running shop. Talk to a knowledgeable salesperson about the type of shoe and size you need for your sport. Your feet are what get you there.

Very Disappointed

I'm very disappointed in the construction and quality control. The left shoe has broken down consistently with all three pairs of shoes (2 GT19s and 1 GT20) in the same exact manner. After the 2nd day of use of my GT20s, I had to insert sole support/cushion because my heels hurt. These shoes do not go outside of my home. I walk 7-8 miles a day on indoor equipment only so sidewalks, streets, and/or trails cannot be used as a scapegoat for the break down of the shoes. I expect more from Brooks and I certainly expect more from whomever they hire to test the overall structural integrity of these shoes.

Broken Toe Boxes

I am so frustrated with these shoes. I ordered the 20’s because the 19’s were hands down the best shoes I’ve ever purchased. Within 3 wears my left toe box broke. Brooks graciously sent me a new pair of shoes but after wearing those just a few times again a toe box began breaking down and rubbing my big toe. I wore the first pair after the toe box broke on a hike and the other shoe broke as well. I understand these are designed to be running shoes but they allow for zero lateral movement of any kind. On a positive note, this version of the shoe fixed the terrible heel rubbing that occurred on the 19’s. The 20s have great padding on the back.

Great for knee problems

When I bought these shoes, I was actually looking for the Adrenaline 19 because reviews said that they were great for people with knee problems. Well, I wasn't able to get the 19 so I bought the Adrenaline 20 hoping that the reviews I read were people specific with the reported knee issues. I'm glad I took that chance. I will be starting my 8th week running with these shoes and I'm happy to report that my knees feel stronger with less pain (none while running) and the chronic swelling that I had in my right knee has been reduced significantly. The only minor issue is that the side soles are looking beat up (21 runs)-cracks, flaking, gouges.

Literal bounce in my step

I have been a Brooks wearer for some time now, but just switched from the Addiction to the Adrenaline. I walk 4-5 miles a day on paved roads. Though not quite as much support for my formerly fractured and temperamental ankle, the Adrenaline provides sufficient support (and plenty for those of you without ankle issues). It is a nice weight, where I can feel the ground but with with great cushion for my plantar fasciitis and knees. And I literally feel a spring in my step as if the shoe propels me forward. Also I have wide feet mainly due to a tailors’s bunion (yes terrible feet I have) and the D width are perfect. Extremely happy with my switch.

Flat feet cushion, but make it fashion

This is my second pair of Adrenaline's (last being the 19). As a flat footed runner I always struggle to strike the balance between the cushion I need and shoes that don't bog me down or look super bulky. These do the trick well enough. I went a half size up and it works well. Only gave them 4 starts because break in time is always pretty painful for me (dull ache all around bottom edge of my foot) on the first 20-25 miles -- still can't figure out if that's me or Brooks. I didn't realize just how sparkly the body of the shoe is, but it's growing on me! Overall, I'd recommend these if you think you need cushion but still want to feel fast.

I’m not a runner, I just walk a lot.

I will preface this by saying that I’m not a runner at all. But I do a lot of walking. I had purchased a pair of Brooks about 5-6 years ago and didn’t wear them too often, then found them in the back of my closet and dusted them off and started wearing them again after a painful fasciitis issue. I ended up wearing them so much that I wore them out and needed a new pair. Got a different brand of shoes that my runner friends swear by, but they didn’t work out for me at all. So I got these ones. Color is awesome. Fit is perfect. Light, comfy, and worth every penny. When these ones wear out I will absolutely get another pair of Brooks again.

NEW TECHNOLOGY IS NO GOOD ..

I wear brooks for 5 years I have never had pain in my heels from a sneaker the last pair I wear are the 18’s - thsvk god I have 3 brand new pairs bc I have planter faciatis and I went for a 15 min walk and cafe home w the heels of my feet killing me - I never ever have pain in my brooks .. these sneakers are my life saver and now I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t stack up on the older versions. The rep said your toot needs 2 weeks to get used to the new technology- well I can’t take the pain - the guide rails ruined this shoe I advise you go back to the older support technology bc these cause people w planter pain. I’ll never wear it again .

Great (and beautiful) shoes!

These shoes have been great! I’ve used them for running and body weight workouts. They are supportive, so they aren’t as stable for certain workouts because they have more cushion. But they are comfortable to run in and have worked well! I have high arches and over pronation. I think I’ll need customized inserts to help with the arches, but my feet feel much more stable and supported in these than other pairs I’ve had before. I don’t feel like I’m going to roll my ankle or like I’m running on the side of the shoes. The color is BEAUTIFUL in person too! I get lots of compliments on them and get excited about wearing them! So happy with this purchase!

Great shoes!

So far, so good! I run 4-5 days per week, usually 10-20 miles. I mildly overpronate, which usually results in knee pain, but since I've been using these my knees have felt great. I previously trained for my first half marathon in the New Balance 860v9s and I had planned on repurchasing. However, the Brooks Adrenaline offer the same amount of support with a more cushion-y feel. These shoes are also much lighter than any other medium/high support shoes I've used. I did experience some plantar soreness during the first week of use, but it went away after a few runs. I also love the color options and I think these shoes look very cool :)
